At least that's one positive from Bopara's ridiculous omission from the England squad, he'll be available for Essex's QF.

Spectators certainly got their money's worth from that game.

yeah we did, what is even better some people only paid £1 for their tickets. this was because the 10th August game against Surrey they where selling tickets for that game for a quid. with the game being called of they allowed those tickets to be valid for this game.

They just said that in the quarter finals, Hales and Gurney wont be available as they'll be on England duty

That just seems harsh on Notts

Gurney would not be as much a loss to Notts as Fletcher.

It is quite pathetic, because these are more important than England so removing available stars both demotes the county game.and sends that sense of ISOLATION to the England squad.

Also, why go see England when the players have near enough ceased to play for your county.

It divides and certainly never used to happen like that.

I imagine notts fans will be even more unhappy if hales ends up just carrying the drinks as well

Anderson, Buttler and Bell are being released for Saturday.

But I am guessing not guaranteed to play though, as haven't the county's said in the past, the players who have played in the tournament deserve to play in the finals.

Well, I reckon they'll all play, or else they wouldn't have released them. Buttler of course the massive plus for Lanky.

Of course they'll play. Each teams chance improve massively with those three in the line up. It might be harsh on the players that have got you there but tough luck really.

After the fuss a few years ago where England released Bell to play in a 1-day semi final, only for Warwickshire not to pick him and go with the players who'd got them to that point, I think we can be certain they'll all play.

Yorkshire/ Durham looks the most attractive of the ties to me.
I'm amazed they are not showing it live.

Sky have got a thing about Essex.

With Sky and Essex, I think some of it is to do with Ravi, he seems to be friends with most of them.

Sky must be overjoyed that the Gloucester match isn't at Bristol, with the lack of lights it would have had to have been a day game.

nick knight is by no means my favourite commentator but fair play to him for setting himself up for a slagging from some of the VTs he does
