it was pathetically generic and had no resemblance to any regional Scottish accent I've ever heard...typical drama school this is what 'they' sound like training. Its similar to someone doing the Queen and saying that's an 'English accent' they all sound like that
Sadly for you, Mary Doll is celebrating her Silver Wedding Anniversary, here's their treasured album to remember the occasion , direct from a £4 photo booth, Rab's idea!:D

I have surpassed Rab and Mary's milestone having been happily married 27 years this year, in true Rab & Mary tradition my wife has stated that only one of them was happy. To which I replied, "at least that is one more than I thought".
That accent only exists in parts of glasgow at a push
Bull! I am Scottish, and have a lot of family who live on the west coast who sound like that. Glasgow, Ayr, Kirkcubright to name a few off the top of my head. Her accent was fabulous!

Well said Lolla. I thought of Ayrshire as well. I live west coast but further north, the accent here is very similar.

Unfortunately those who live in the less densely populated areas of Scotland think they represent the majority. Who actually live in the West of the Central belt.

I am Lanarkshire but haven't seen it yet....any links?
Claire is an excellent actress, and as she's shown tonight, very diverse. She was utterly fabulous as ruthless bitch Kim Tate in Emmerdale - I'll always remember that character, the best in the history of soap tbh.

You are joking?
I'm a Scot, might have been a generic "Weegie" accent, but lets face it the majority of Scots are "Weegie's". Rab C would have been proud.:D
I thought of "Mary Doll" when she did it:D
Now your talking about a "Real Woman".:D
