Oh dear. I use it in posts very occasionally, just for fun. Mea culpa!

Agree with all of the above. :)

I'd really like to know who thought up the word "yummy mummy". It's so bloody patronising and nauseating and cringy.
Ah yes "hi lovely " seems to be the word of choice for hipster women all over these days.

'YES', I live in Scotland by the way and it's not a good word at the moment.

"Like" as used by what seems like (!) everyone under forty years of age. It crops up in nearly every sentence uttered.

I know it's two words but I hate to hear people being interviewed starting their reply with "I mean" ! People whom I assume to be well educated but still don't seem to be able to respond without prefixing everything with "I mean, ".

"Bae" - Just makes me cringe, absolutely hate that "word", all over Social Media at the moment.

    "Bare" - Ergggh!

'Yummy'. Whenever I see it or hear it (especially when used by adults) it really grates.

Asking myself exactly the same question, "Bae" apparently means "Baby". So people who write "My Bae" are actually saying "My Baby". Yeah, I know, 'cringe(y)'.

Myself, and Yourself when used to replace Me and You so the speaker thinks they sound more intelligent.

When people say "raff" instead of R A F. It sounds very lazy and disrespectful.

Great post, you've really summed up why I hate the word Staycation, and also selfie.

Seems like these sort of words are being created by narcissistic, vapid idiots who think everyone is beneath them and try-hards who have an obsession with giving "quirky" names to things that never needed them before. Yuck.

A staycation is NOT going on holiday to Bournemouth or Blackpool - that is as much a holiday (by definition) as going to Marbella or the Maldives. A staycation is taking your holidays and not going anywhere except maybe day trips!

And I hate the bloody word too >:(

Drubbing. Once upon a time it was good enough to say a team was thrashed when they lost by a huge score. Now they 'receive a drubbing'.

    Chipotle.

I've recently learned what it is and now I'm seeing it everywhere. Ugly-looking word.
