I'm speechless at how good they thought the navy guy was. I thought he was awful. Shaky, weird, and painful to listen to. I think I'd rather listen to a cat being strangled.
Sarah Jane Crawford is doing a pretty good job, I think. Not too 'me me me', listening to the loonies sympathetically and working well with the cheesy scripting - better than Huq and Flack IMO.
Felt like a big music video to me. Not much dialogue between the judges, not much of Dermot, not much of anything really, just someone singing followed by a montage.
Something happened between the last series and this. It's probably just me.
But something seemed lacking in the choice of judges.
Otherwise same old 'bring someone out to mock' and lauding of people with dubious talent.
With the standard rolling eyes and scripted responses, it just seems a tired formula. Oh how we chortled at the lengthy cake serving scene and Simon left alone to watch a never ending audition.
Not.
If it ever turns into a serious talent show, I'll be back.
Otherwise goodbye X Factor.

I think she's terrific. She seems rather shy.
