Norman would have to have baked a sentient pie that ate itself to impress enough to survive...

Yay - Star Baker for Kate :)

She is getting stronger from a fairly weak start.
    Potential winner now.
She's the one I'm not keen on? :(

Boo to the FB outage .... I wanted to post that I really really wanted pork pie - see if anyone would drop one round

I would if I had one, and was closer!

Strangely they had a problem with Brendan a couple of seasons ago - they kept telling him he was too old fashioned in his baking but the only thing that saved him was he was a better baker than Norman!

    well done Kate and Norman!

Norman was good value, but no point keeping him in as a stay of execution. He had no chance of winning.

Guessed they wouldn't go for a bye and everybody staying because Diane dropped out, which is the precedent for these circumstances on any show like this.

They wanted rid of Norman, but in a week when it is harder to choose who to send home, no one will be sent home.

They could have let Norman have another week.

Kate started off as a bit of a disaster at the beginning of the series but she's been getting steadily better each week; well done for getting star baker.

Nancy, Richard (despite his not-so-good week) and Luis are still ones to watch, together with Kate.

Martha is still good but showing her lack of experience in some challenges.

Chetna still hasn't made much of an impression on me.

No surprise that Norman was out this week.

Boo to Paul! If Scotland gains independence I want Norman to become the nation's superstar chef. The man needs his own show.

Not of hope of winning that title, he hasn't deep-fried anything yet.

Aww Martha - trying to keep her chin up, good girl, it's not easy.

I wonder if she is missing Diana, she said something at the start about her.

We think it they want Norman to go then they'll do it now and not eliminate next week

Agreed. It's been obvious from the beginning that Paul did not like Norman. Must have made his day to see him leave.

I liked Norman but I do think he was the weakest and did probably deserve to go.

Slightly Off Topic ... anyone else's Facebook down??

There was a news item earlier about eBay having log on problems tonight.

On the other hand she did the best pie despite never having seen one before so shows she can both follow instructions and perhaps more important has a knack to producing unfamiliar items.

    Those pies. Yum!

I would've loved to be in the tent to taste all those! How many were there to taste on the second day? :o:D

    Lost an 'e'.

There is a tradition in Scotland of deep frying everything. The Mars bar is best known but also Cream Egg, Pizza etc. It is said that some people's idea of a healthy meal is deep-fried lettuce.
