As BBC are funded by taxpayers why do they battle over ratings ?? they dont have to have high ratings for revenue like ITV and co so why do they enter a stupid ratings war??

People should not make promises they might not be able to keep.
Well perhaps the person did promise and then they might have all been told quite firmly that they were not allowed to disclose the pairings and perhaps risk never getting a ticket again. In which case not her fault, no need for anyone to get stroppy over it.
By 2am this morning I was all "it's OK, I'll just have to wake up to the results instead"; by 2pm this afternoon I'm a bit like a recovering addict - needing my next hit, but trying to stay strong. And sweating a bit too!
