That's really keeping in the spirit of Joan Rivers. Some of her will live on forever.

Oh she's passed away? How sad, I hoped she'd pull through and be cracking tasteless jokes about her brush with death. I always remember her turning her husband's suicide into a joke -
" My husband killed himself. And it was my fault. We were making love and I took the bag off my head."

Funny woman, shame though that her ill conceived outburst about Gaza will be her epitaph.
    RIP Joan.

Strange that she never even made me smile, but lots of people I know thought she was amazing and one of the best comics of all time.

    RIP Joan.

Only to people who want it to be, most people won't even know she said anything about Gaza or care.

'your dead, you deserve to be dead'.... I believe thoughs were the ladies words.

Not the best quote for a tribute thread...

She supported the deaths of innocent women and children. I couldn't care about peoples opinions on Middle eastern politics but if you support bombing innocent women and children then you deserved to be shamed for it.

If an Irish comedian said he supported the IRA bombing campaign and lapped up every British person torn to pieces (Birmingham pub bombings, Warrington bombings etc) I don't personally think that would go down to well.

So a tribute thread to Joan Rivers has now turned into Gaza vs Israel.

Really? Or is that your biased take on it?

My parents hated me. All I ever heard was, “Why can’t you be like your cousin Shelia? Why can’t you be like your cousin Shelia?” Shelia had died at birth.

She was so brilliant. She was totally without a contemporary.

Her interview with Michael Parkinson was absolutely comedy gold, but also incredibly touching too with her talk about depression and suicide.

    Is it on YouTube?

I wonder if he flogged her a 50+ protection plan?

"Stevie Wonder, that poor man. When is someone going to tell him he's wearing a macramé plant holder on his head?" was one of hers I found memorable. RIP Joan.
