Lets hope the "poor kid" never gets wind of this thread in years to come.

Well she can thank mommy if she does .

Celebs can be eejits at times, do they give these names because they like them or is it for headlines. Looking at some of the names given on here you have to wonder do they just think of the here and now, or the child's future at all.. I can't imagine a boy called Angel being on the school rugby team, well unless he fits a good nickname :)

I actually think these names are much worse, I mean Apple, really?? However, as for the alternative, Duchess Kate, surely she must be on a wind up? Let's just hope she doesn't have another girl who will be burdened with this truly awful name!

I think that Duchess is a far more old-fashioned name. ( And just awful aswell, even without the Savile association ).
I'd still rather be called Bunny than Apple.

Someone I work with was telling me that she knew somebody once upon a time whose name was Teaspoon. It was in Africa, though. I know a man called Grace. Again, that's in Africa. And, apparently, Mary is quite a popular name for boys in Uganda...

So, in the whole scheme of things, Bunny is actually a really sensible name!! :o

    :o
    I quite like that.
At least he'd be the only Teaspoon in his class, and he wouldn't have to worry about anyone nicking his PE Kit by mistake.

:D God God. You'd think she's actually called the baby Empress Cleopatra Pencilcase.

Bunny is a perfectly ordinary name in the scheme of things. If anything, it's a little dull. The idea that it will generate 'poo hitting the fan' is ludicrous.

Don't even think about stealing that - it's mine.
    >:(
I can't have any more kids, so I'm going to use it for the next cat.

I'm not a huge fan of Bunny

I don't think little Bunny will be the subject of bullying due to her name tho...my son sits in a class with 'President', "Angel-Eyes' 'Zion' 'Tallulah' a host of other unusual names.
We live in a beautiful little Welsh Village...so its hardly the zeleb 4x4 style world!

hope I'm not identified by any of the school yard mafia :D

    Of course she won't.
It's just a stick to try and beat her mother with.

    Bunny?!!

    Well..it's cute!:D

My guess of Sophamy Aurora was wrong, tho :(
I thought of Fluffety Muffety Saffycat but that would suit Jamie and Jools Oliver better :D

Bunny!!! OMG she's setting that child up for ridicule. Imagine all the 'shags like a rabbit' jibes she's going to get when she's a teen?! :o All very cute now while she's a little baby but how will it sit on a woman of 30, 40, 50 etc? Or if she wants to go into a more sober profession e.g. Bunny Hayler QC? Dr Bunny Hayler? Hmmm. Sorry but Bunny Hayler sounds more like a porn star to me! :o:D

Why oh why couldn't she give her a more normal name which could have been shortened to Bunny?

I know it could have been a lot worse but I don't like it for a proper, formal name.

Bunny does have a meaning behind it - that of a fluffy animal that hops until it becomes roadkill.

I'm not sure whether to feel flattered or ashamed at this news. ^_^ I still think Inn was a good name for a baby Haylor

So it's KP's fault that people are mocking her name, while, at the same time showing concern that she may get ridiculed at school for it?

I have a question about Princess Tiammii; does anyone have any idea what she is referred to at school etc? It makes me cringe.

I actually don't mind Bunny  I think it's kind of sweet. If it was a boy though, would it have been called Thumper??

I would imagine that she's probably called Princess at school.
    Because it's her name.

I don't believe for a second that she'll be bullied because of her name.
But in the highly unlikely event that she is bullied, won't the blame for the bullying lie with the bullies, and not her parents??

Defo dull IMO, total anti climax after the 6 week wait.

As much as I think KP is a fud of the highest order Bunny is no diff to Teddy really, the only difference really is that at least Teddy has Theodora to fall back on.

My gramps is called Edward and my nan calls him Ted when they have company and Wally when just family:D
Anyway... Bunny is a pretty common name actually especially in the west Indies I know three, two men one woman. I was expecting something a bit more outrageous tbh , Bunny is rather cute I think. Hardly a name that will cause her to he picked on. My daughter has a Blade a chilli and a Cookie in her class:D

Well that's what I would've thought but since it's KP, obviously it'll be her fault if her child is bullied.

I've never heard of anyone called Bunny. Is this the actual name? If I imagine being called Bunny & saying my name over the phone or at an interview:blush: "Hello, Bunny White, Personnel!"....It's a bit cringe.

I think my Husband would have tried to persuade me to have Blade if we had not have had 3 girls :D

Ps I wasn't saying Teddy was a bad name btw I was just saying they are similar IMO , not everyone's cup of tea but at least in Teddy's case she has a less cutsie name she can fall back on if as she grows up she isn't keen on that version.

I can think of many things that the children will come across in their school years. and their future. And yes unfortunately all these things will be down to their Mother and how she sells every sordid detail of her life.

Are you saying that you yourself would laugh at a boy called Angel on a rugby team?

No worries . I was just thinking out loud I always thought Ted was short for Edward. Maybe its both:)

Of course it is, how naive of me.

One thing I don't understand is, how can say you're concerned about the ridicule she may face at school (or words to that effect) when you, yourself are mocking her name?

I'm possibly being naive again but maybe it's adults that have a problem with the name & other kids won't actually give it a second thought.

    Perhaps she will.
Perhaps mine or yours will aswell.
Or perhaps - and this is just a thought - she might actually like it.

Little Lion has a very carefully thought out name, chosen many years before she was born because of my time at uni studing evolution, Mr Lion and I conducted a search of that name on google, and found that a number of female CEOs had that first name and we are aware of a number of well known female scientists with the same first name too!.

It is a traditional name, and passed the prime minister name challenge... and everyone we know has said it suits her... her middle name is a family name, running through several generations on both sides of our family... a merging if you will of our heritage!

If she dislikes one of her names, then at leat she has a back up with a middle name.. I hasten to add that PM Gordon Brown used his middle name, his first name is actually James!

I am suprised that she has forgotten she has given birth to a human and not a rabbit... its a silly as calling a boy flopsie!

I was wondering if in true chavtastic taste if she would call her daughter something like Mirrorbelle Sunonsunday OK Price, a name that would allow her to follow in her mothers footsteps.. but no... Bunny... after the middle aged man from TV flop Eldorado:(

Maybe Bunny will love her name... but if she ever has to make any formal declarations eg wedding vows it may result in some giggles from the audience...
