    Just seen an interview on SSN with Earl.

    He's playing in this years World Cup of Pool in Portsmouth. It's live on SS2 now. England are also playing tonight.

    qatar causing the biggest shock so far, beating chinese taipei 7-5, and england having a scare 7-6 against spain

    second round already has finland v poland, and the winner of that faces the might of the philippines :o

    mighty tussle between GERMANY and CANADA
    the germans went 5-2 up but canada came back remarkably, including a three foul rack, but a monumental miss on the eight ball may have cost canada dearly

    he overplayed that eightball, trying to get it off the rail even more that he needed it to be, all he should have done was draw it back down the table, and after canada's almost euphoria in getting to that near winning position, that one single shot blew them right back to the start

    gonna miss that wee canadian, he was fun :D

    FINLAND are on fire, TWO white washes now and that's unprecidented in the WCoP, that quarter final against NETHERLANDS will be a blast!

    FINLAND were against PHILIPPINES in a cracker of a match, going back and forth several times, but eventually it was the fins who took the semi final place 9-7

    AUSTRIA started off the day's play with a convincing 9-3 win over the luckless CHINA

    tonight other two quarter finals are
    NETHERLANDS v GERMANY
    ENGLAND A v USA

    and the NETHERLANDS beat GERMANY in a hard fought quarter final by 9-7
    they might have been a teeny bit happy about it :D

    It got shunted to Sky Sports 5 as the rugby was about to start. The current rack got cut to adverts unceremoniously and then there was no coverage for 3-4 mins due to Sky Sports 5 showing adverts too! Highly unimpressed.

    As an aside - first non-football programme on Sky Sports 5?

    Caught a bit of a Germany game with Hohmann and Souquet. I take it the Machine Ortmann retired years ago?

    Incredible. Sky have 5 sports channels now and even still they had too much sport. Good on them for moving it. I am glad I got to see the end.

    Don;t know if he retired but for a year or two he was the non playing captain of the Euro Mosconi cup team i think.
