European Football Show - BT Sport 1
James Richardson with James Horncastle, Julien Laurens and Raphael Honigstein
Genoa v Sampdoria -Derek Rae and Richard Hughes
My word...he at it again!!! so he's had a game Thursday I think last week then yesterday and today followed by tomorrow then Thursday and Friday and no doubt at least Saturday or Sunday next week.
One oddity (well I thought it was) I've only just noticed when the FLS show the league tables is that only Cambridge United get the full team name treatment for League Two, with others just listing the Town/City (eg. Exeter, Northampton, Oxford). Why is this?

Well I've singled out Cambridge, not for that reason, but because it's more noticeable. When the results are read out at just after 5pm, all teams have the 'sporting suffix' there (ie - Wigan Athletic), but when the table is read out it is removed, so, using my example Wigan Athletic just becomes 'Wigan'.
Obviously some clubs needs their full name (Bristol City, Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest), yet for most clubs the full club name is ignored. It just seems like a half and half approach.
i dont like it on a sunday, always seems very rushed!!!
Agreed. Despite there being Welsh Premier League games (as well as the first round of the Welsh Cup) taking place there's no livegame this Sunday, but there will be highlights of the Saturday games (and, since there's first round Welsh Cup happening I'm hoping for perhaps one or two cameras to be at games).
He never ever fails to mention his so called "buddies" in anything he writes, its either Owen or Hargreaves or Macnanaman.
Really is getting so predicable with everything he writes on Twitter nowadays, Ian Darke seems to be the only one who dosent get a mention or he mention them.

I'm just thankful we now all know what his coffee order is.
Still that's a better article than that Daily Star article last year where Jake was called 'the star of the show' and I quote "BT's Mesut Ozil, Luis Suarez and Wayne Rooney rolled into one".
You'd think from that article though that it makes more sense for BT to go in the studio at the ground rather than go pitchside where judging by that article Jake can't hear the pundits well at all and where they can get sprinkled on or have a ball kicked at them. I don't think the idea of doing it pitchside adding 'atmosphere' (which it really doesn't for me) makes it worthwhile.

So he's bug-eyed, bites people, and then stomps on them?
"I never had the talent to cut it at the very top, but Michael and Owen made it, and I could pick their brains about football all day long. I still find it surreal that I used to cheer them on playing for England on the TV, and now here we are all working together as mates."
Aargh, give it a rest Jake. It used to be endearing when he did this kind of thing on his F1 blogs, but it really grates now. Probably because it seems much more cynical and deliberate than in the early days...
Also, I'm sure I wasn't the only person to be caught out by the line break when Jake was discussing MacManaman's "blow-dry"...
I was going to say that, although a) nobody would confuse them and b) you would get the same problem with Oxford.
Bit late...
Liverpool vs Everton - Introduced by Jake Humphrey with Kevin Campbell and Steve McManaman, commentary by Ian Darke and Michael Owen
Arsenal vs Spurs - Introduced by Dave Jones with Sol Campbell and Jamie Redknapp, commentary by Martin Tyler and Alan Smith
Reading vs Wolves - Introduced by Simon Thomas with Peter Beagrie, commentary by Bill Leslie and Don Goodman
West Brom vs Burnley - Introduced by Ed Chamberlin with Jamie Carragher and Kevin Phillips, commentary by Alan Parry and Gary Neville
And we know who the presenters and pundits are tonight. I didn't realise until today that Fletch and Sav is still on BT next weekend, but on Sunday, which seems a bit pointless, I don't know how many people are going to know it's on or bother to change their usual Sunday viewing habits to watch it. I can accept not doing it on international weekends but surely they can do the odd episode from BT Towers when they don't have a Saturday lunchtime game? It doesn't all have to be about their game.
The issue with Jake Humphrey is that when he made the step up from childrens TV and started presenting F1 was that people saw that he had a different approach to presenting F1, a style that was unlike the professional style held by Steve Rider on ITV in the years before BBC won the rights back. Humphrey would have seen this praise and this is where the issue lies.
He started believing his own hype and then felt that people are really interested in everything that he says or does, this trait he carried over to BT Sport. The act of promoting other events while presenting went down well to start with on F1, so Jake decided that BT Sport viewers would love it, then he decided that it was so good he would do it more, therefore infiltrating the viewer.
What Jake needs is a reality check, not everyone cares about what he tweets about and the aura that he believes that he has on twitter isnt there, he simply fails to see the bigger picture.
Not sure if it has been mentioned, but Gabby Logan is presenting next Saturday's Match of the Day.
At a guess, Gary Lineker will be taking part in the Dunhill Links Championship.
For the same reason, Jamie Redknapp should be missing from SNF this weekend -
Next month these legendary stars - Sir Bobby Charlton and Jamie Redknapp of England, Johan Cruyff and Ruud Gullit of Holland, Michael Ballack of Germany, Gianfranco Zola of Italy and Luis Figo of Portugal - will be among the amateurs taking part in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Ed said yesterday that Hoddle, Di Matteo and Hasslebank are on with Sky tonight. I think he might also have said he'd be at Stamford Bridge on Sunday which would be quite right even though it is the early match.

Good going!!
So they don't get confused with Cambridge City ?
Match of the Day 2
Mark Chapman presented alongside Kevin Kilbane and Jason Roberts
West Bromwich Albion v Burnley - Steve Bower
It might have been better if they had presented the programme from The Hawthorns, just as they did from Old Trafford a couple of weeks back.

Robbie Savage also confirmed whilst on 606 on Saturday evening that he would be on this week as well.
Sky patching Jeff and a Pundit for the early game then.
