The lift plummet was ridiculous! The hospital is simply not that big! xx Whole episode made me laugh! We were remembering when Rhys was dying a couple of years ago and we wept but we just laughed at Freddie! x I know Hollyoaks is unrealistic but this is sooooooo bad.
Correct me if I am wrong. In one shot the lift is seen with 3 cables along the side probably running down to a counterweight block. Yet in another shot there is only one cable in the middle holding the lift up - the one that snapped.
What happened to the other 2 cables that were clearly tight and loaded?
Hollyoaks has been unrealistic at the best of times (transit minibus losing brake pedal after picking up a rock) but this is almost comically unrealistic.
Indeed. Like when she was going to the movies with Robbie while JP was imprisoned.
Trevon, you know that was so we would forget that James Sutton was actually taking a scheduled break and not available for HO. Now that he's back the family can be outraged. So badly done and obvious.

Why do people complain about how unrealistic Hollyoaks is when it says at the very end of every episode as the last thing "for advice on real issues got to channel4.com/support" - it says that because Hollyoaks isn't real, it's a scripted show.
You're meant to use your imagination if they don't show all floors of the hospital or where a character was. Just like if you read a book, you enjoy it when you let it go an get into it were anything can happen but if you moan about stuff not being realistic when it's not meant to be, that's not the fault of the show.
Hollyoaks doesn't claim to be real, it knows it's a fictional drama taking realistic stories from real stories that affect people (like most scripted TV show or films so it's not doing anything that doesn't happen in all TV).
Just comes across to me as any digs a dig when you're intent on not enjoying the show rather than Hollyoaks actually claiming to be a realistic as possible.
I don't think anyone should not criticize stories or actors but the 'realism' argument doesn't work in a show that knows it's fiction.
Joe is just as wooden as Freddie, his face stays the same whatever the emotion.
Grace being afraid to give Esther an injection lolol she didn't think twice before clonking people, kidnapping and god knows what else. Truly reformed, wouldn't say boo to a goose.
Bob requesting a ambulance and even though armed police are within hospital grounds, Trevour rose to the challenge.

I know can't wait to see her getting revenge on Robbie though :D

Oh yeah. I agree. Very transparent.
They don't even try to make it subtle
I thought he looked constipated :D
That too!!! :D
Maybe it has 6 or 7 basement levels:)

Lifts all have emergency brakes which are underneath.
I'm not sure what was the biggest load of crap. The Roscoe 'drama' 'You've got to stay strong, bruv!' or the lift plunge.
Big Bob died, shot himself in a struggle with Cameron
Freddie survived and the love triangle is unfortunately alive and kicking
The lift fell with both Ziggy and Tegan inside, that was the last scene.
Esther agreed to be Grace's surrogate.
Pheobe and Robbie are back on... Again
And the Road Runner once again outwitted Wile E. Coyote agan
Ok thank you you really couldnt make this lot up haha
HO returns to its ridiculous self >:(>:(
