Does Hodgson go with his strongest side against the Scots - knowing some fans and the media will hammer him if he plays a "weaken side" and lose?

He's already said that he will leave out Joe Hart and play the two goalkeepers in each half. He will clearly play a so called weaker team. I doubt whether criticism from the press will bother him; I do , however think that Scotland will play their strongest team. It should be a good competitive game, better than some of England's qualifiers

Looking forward to the return of domestic football. The international break was ok, especially with the new qualifying format, but I do miss the weekend league games.

Unbelievably, Newcastle are now 4th in the Premier League table after they notched up their sixth straight win against QPR.

This game never ceases to make people look foolish very quickly. :D

As I am quite looking forward to it, a 0-0 bore draw.

Arsenal's recent record against United isn't great, but neither is United's recent away form. I'll go for a 1-1 draw.

For Jack Wilshere to not get any card at all for putting his forehead in Fellaini's chest is nothing short of miraculous.

Good strike from Livermore to put Hull ahead against Spurs

No celebration as it's his former club..I find that rather strange

As long as they don't go overboard Adebayor style against his old club Arsenal , I think it's a bit embarrassing really.

It's almost offensive to the fans of the team he's playing for.

I can understand it if it's a player like Lampard against Chelsea, but in most cases it seems kind of ridiculous.

Just like at Villa, Spurs get a huge helping hand from the referee. Very, very soft red for Ramirez. Will they take advantage of it once again?

Although their attacking players look good on paper, Spurs are quite dull to watch.

I didn't realise until I looked the other day just how nice a start fixture-wise the Saints had to their season. Still have Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd, Everton and Chelsea still to play in this half of the season!!

Villa lucky to hang on for a point in the end.

The next few weeks will show what Southampton really have about them.

I don't think their goals against tally will look quite so decent after that little lot.

It's a testament to how well Southampton have done so far this season that tonight might be the first time I've ever watched a game of theirs that wasn't against my club and actively wanted them to lose!
