Do you want an ereader or a tablet?

I also have the Paperwhite which has to be the ereader to have for those just interested in reading mainly Amazon store books, or who have another tablet for multimedia stuff.
I've got thousands of books, none of which were bought from Amazon.
If I used a tablet as an e reader on holiday I'd have to charge it twice a day, my kindle would last the complete week on one charge.
Yes, I was actually including that in the 'coloured diagrams' bit. I have a copy of Bernard Cornwell's account of the Battle of Waterloo and the troop disposition maps are pretty much illegible.
I've got this. Bought as a replacement for my old Kindle Keyboard. It is expensive, but I absolutely love it. The e-ink screen is high res, the touch screen is very responsive, and the device is fast. It's like moving from an old feature phone to a smartphone.
Increased screen PPI makes sense if you want to use smaller font and it still will be readable. I am afraid not for me anymore But page turn sensors sounds like a nice thing. Because with Paperwhite you have to use a gesture or touch the screen in certain area and I often change the font size instead when the device misinterprets my gesture. It does not happen often, but it irritates.
No, but it happens anyway, for me it looks like a normal swipe from right to left, Kindle thinks I am pinching.
Easy solution, don't swipe, just tap.
I prefer swiping, so when this happens, I curse and try to change the font size quickly back before the popup disappears.
