I could definitely hear a touch of the Pet Shop Boys but apart from that I really don't know what else to say other than

I was pleasantly surprised but just as the tune started to get into a good melody, it went "wrong" and wasn't what my brain was wanting it to be. If that makes sense. The version in my head is much better.
