Is this a one off or an annual event? The BBC have a habit of starting things only to drop them after a couple of years, e.g. the Electric Proms, the TOTP awards, the BBC 4 World Cinema Award etc.

I do wonder why on earth the BBC is doing this with licence fee money. I am all for the brand of 'BBC Music' - fair enough, I see what they are trying to do.

But why are they putting on an awards show that has little to differentiate it from commercial media - this is not PSB and in a time that they are needing to make cuts, this kind of show shouldn't have been a priority.

    Jesus! Kill me now!

CRAP acts compared to the 70s and 80s. Far cry from Level 42 as the house band..
