I thought that was implied in an article featuring an interview with someone in the BBC - posted approx a couple of weeks ago.
It said 1st pick replays alternate and I thought it implied the same for lower down picks - which if it is indeed the case then it seems by far the most likely it would be 3rd and 4th picks.
No all PL ties should be picked unless it's a game with some sort of meaning to people other than fans of the teams involved (ie local derby or 2 massive teams) or it's later in the competition where you may end up with a poor TV draw. I honestly see no reason for any all PL ties to be picked in this round, not even Arsenal v Hull as a repeat of last seasons final.
Whilst I sympathise with the post, and enjoy seeing non PL teams vs PL teams, I don't get very excited about Derby V Chelsea or even Derby V West Brom or someone.
I am biased on this one, but I think Arsenal V Hull is more attractive than Southampton v Ipswich say.
Id rather watch Everton V West Ham or Leicester V Newcastle than most of the ties.
Also, if you don't have a subscription to Sky or BT, all premier league ties are very rare for terrestrial viewers

Yep, the first pick replays will alternate as will the third and fourth picks:
You'd think the alternating picks will be linked to keep the games balanced, i.e. whoever has third pick has the second pick replay; fourth pick, the first pick.
Yes, and I say this as a Wrexham fan. Save the coverage for the replay. There's no need for BT to pick it just because it's on the Sunday, and there's nothing to say any decision has been made to move that match, rather than Port Vale's, to Sunday because they think it might be on the telly.

Not long now
Charlton and Huddersfield announce Sat at 3 games
Wolves say they are in discussions (4 ties in West London )
Chelsea Fulham Brentford and QPR
Arsenal vs Hull to kick off at 5.30PM on the Sunday.
Live on BBC if true.
I would guess that the BBC have 3rd pick in this round (BT 4th) with 2nd pick replay (BT 1st). Alternating as the rounds go on, this would give the BBC the 1st pick replay in the QF's which I think they would want.

Unless a semi final ends up as a draw so I take BT would show it?
Chelsea's FA Cup third round game against Watford will take place at Stamford Bridge on Sunday 4 January.
Kick-off time for the game will be 4pm.
Chelsea play on New Years Day (Thursday) at 5:30pm, so the game was likely to be on the Sunday. I'd guess they've chosen 4pm as its a fairly regular KO time for them. Would suggest its not a TV pick if the timings / slots mentioned so far are correct.

Focus on the Saturday will be on the road as it has on last 2 rounds i guess
I would think Lineker would be doing as many Saturday highlight shows as possible, ie whenever they don't have a live game on a Sat.

With the Wrexham Website hinting/suggesting it'll be played on the Sunday, I'll plop for it being BT Sports live Sunday afternoon game.
Although, Digiguide (and the Wrexham website I'll quote below) has a BT Sport game on the Tuesday.

s4c/BBCW2 might pick it up..
You have thought there will be representation of Welsh teams in Round 4, possibly 2 barring any upsets.

There are no semi-final replays.
Semi-finals don't have replays.
The value of 1st pick in the quarter-finals is that with only four games, there's a high chance of only one ending in a draw.
This is very strange
