Quality original drama for the whole family without resorting to sex and violence - no wonder its not getting another series! Definitely my TV highlight of the year.
Honourable mention to Strictly Come Dancing which I am now properly hooked on having resisted it for years!
This. Really loved Our Zoo. Family friendly drama so obviously got canned. >:(
I'll run this until year end and then compile the top TV 2014 list as voted by this forum. If anyone puts more than one answer I'll take the first mentioned.
Understand that you can take the first entry, just find it bizarre that some posters are either unable or unwilling to follow simple instructions and give one answer only.
There was a thread on here a few weeks ago which asked for the worst sitcom in the last 5 years and some posters answered with shows that were not sitcoms and/or shows which were over 5 years old.

Lots of people just read the thread title then jump to the latest post. That you're only meant to post one show needs to have been mentioned in the thread title
It's impossible to choose just one as there have been so many excellent dramas. I loved The Crimson Field, Grantchester, Cilla, In The Club and Call the Midwife.
As for non-UK drama, the second series of Wentworth was hard to beat.

Closely followed by Happy Valley, then Portrait Artist of the Year 2014 (Sky Arts)
