THE ME BIT!

I do not have a website for you to look at of my own, so I thought I would use this bit to thank everyone for their kind words given that I have taken over the thread. I will continue to update this but will probably need some help as we go along, and where necessary. The kind words are most appreciated. Thanks again - Jimbo

A tip of the purple Christmas hat to those who keep the 28.2 thread burning week after week - one of the most useful resources on DS, and one of the most level-headed communities on the entire site. Joyeux Noel one and all, with an extra Christmas egg to gentleman Jimbo for keeping this whole clattering business running week in week out...

Merry Christmas to all contributors, especially Jimbo who keeps this thread going each week.

Althouhh there's now a lockdown in place, don't forget there's the launch of Astra 2G taking place on the evening of the 27th around 21.37GMT so a nice operational interlude during what is a period of pretty much a quiet period.

Nice information on the 2g launch and a live stream of its launch on December 27 at 22:37:49 GMT.
A few colleagues are involved in this launch from down here in Hampshire.

UPDATE

Looks like the new BBC1 regional news schedule after the 10 O'Clock news comes into play on

Monday 19 January

It also appears to apply to Scotland and Wales but not sure about Northern Ireland as yet.

The lunchtime bulletins still appear to be 15 minutes at 1330 for the time being but will keep an eye on things.

Merry Christmas everyone! CCTV News is now 16:9, but not yet flagged and dog is still 4:3 stretched. It's likely that I will watch this channel more now.

Just as I said that they've gone over to CCTV America and back to 4:3 for now! Guess this will be sorted soon...
