Both defences - I am using the word very, very loosely - look really eager to concede more goals; it is really a question of whether either side is capable of taking the opportunities on offer. If you put both squads together, it would be difficult, if not impossible to construct a first class defence.
Final score, a draw, is a fair result, neither side deserved to win, despite the commentators talking about Liverpool for much of the game as though they were Bayern Munich thrashing Real Madrid. In reality, two pedestrian sides way below what one expects of these teams.
Can't blame Rodgers for losing Suarez, however can blame him for spending excess amounts of dosh on the likes of Lallana, Markovic and Lovren.
Lallana's been decent to be fair, and Markovic is only 20 and already looks to be improving.
The only sure fire flop so far has been Lovren. I even have faith that Balotelli will come good, though I am a very optimistic person most of the time.
Watched with fascination the unravelling of David Moyes last season. Not up to the job.
Then this season, Brendan Rodgers. The moons alligned last season and he got lucky ( like he did when inheriting Roberto Martinez's Swansea team ). This year with no Suarez, Europe and dodgy signings ( which presumably had his agreement ), he is being shown as not really up to the job.

A bit like Moyes he is a far too underwhelming a manager for a club of Liverpool's stature.
I think the jury's still out on the other guy on Merseyside tbh. You need more than just pretty football.
The big clubs should always go for a manager who has won either Bundesliga, La Liga, Premier League, Serie A or Champions League.
A manager who has experience of winning something big. One of the problems with these young gun managers is they always seem to want to make their mark on the club by bringing in relatively young unknown players or players from their old clubs who just can't cut it at a big club.

As much as the pundits would like to see the fairytail of a British manager come good the reality is the big clubs do need a big proven manager to take on the role.
Hell, there are still some who think that Moyes didn't have enough time, get enough money blah de blah.
If the Swansea manager continues to do well he needs to choose his next club very carefully if and when the opportunity next arises. The press will probably hype him up to high heaven before he's earned it.

Except for the inspiring post-match interviews with the manager; Rogers just doesn't have the Moyes' magic ;-)
Liverpool: Shots 21, On Target 6, Goals 1
Arsenal: Shots 5, On Target 2, Goals 2
Nine minutes of injury time!
And Borini sent off for Liverpool!
Deservedly so too, that was a vicious boot raking down Flamini's chest.
Swings and roundabouts at Anfield.
Deserved equaliser tho'
Well he did try ! ;-)
The gift that keeps on giving!
Liverpool fans must be embarrassed to call him their manager.
Plus "wonderful" and "outstanding"
Embarrassing
Check out Red and White Kop for more comedy value.:D:D
