Suprised to see them prime time on BBC1 NYE. Also I notice Uncle Albert has joined them on Drums.

Bless him; he's no Freddie, but he's not too bad.

Apparently Scotland has been spared, or forbidden, whichever way you look at it. We don't get Queen, just an awful comedy program.

I'm enjoying it - I'm a massive Queen fan, so it'll do for me :D

Usually watch Hootenanny but have had my fill of Paloma Faith, Ellie Goulding & Ed Sheeran just lately.

Agree. Throw in Joss Stone too and that line up is very dull.

He's a very good singer I reckon. Certainly gives these songs some 'welly'.

Dear old Roger Taylor looks a bit old to be slamming around on a drum kit.

I'm not that keen on Adam Lambert, they should've just pulled back together a cast from We Will Rock You instead.

He's got a bit of a George Michael vibe

Would be better if this was outdoor. It's lacking a bit of crowd atmosphere.

edit: Actually no, he looks a bit Peter Andre :kitty:

Sacrilege ! Its like someone taking over from John Lennon when he died. Why do they keep Queen going, i dont know. Does nothing for the songs or his memory.
Freddie sang much better. Waste of time.

Roger Taylor is President of the David Bellamy fan club by the look of the facial fungus. Brian May has borrowed JS Bach's powdered wig for the evening.

I suppose the reason why they keep going is because they enjoy performing and once it's in the blood they have to do it.

Of course, John Deacon retired after Freddie died and has not played on any Queen + tracks as far as I know.

Would anybody ever be as good as Freddie?

    Probably not!

Love Adam. Seeing them next month on tour. Almost glad I was too unwell to stay out tonight else I'd have missed this.

Whilst they are not too bad if they were going to put Queen on New Years Eve, They should have put the 1975 Hammersmith show on. :D

Adam Lambert can sing well enough but he doesn't have the magic that made Freddie special and the performances I've seen he seems to be trying too hard it doesn't seem natural.

Lambert can hit hit the hight notes but there's a sameness to his vocals , whatever the song

Just serves to remind us what a truly unique and remarkable voice and front man Freddie was.

Agree. I liked him on American Idol and thought he should've won.

I quite like the guy who fronts the official tribute act Queen Extravaganza, Marc something, who sounds quite Freddie
