(spoiler) Why are the BBC telling everyone it's their first Flashback episode?!

I am seeing in many places reference to this upcoming flashback episode being their first.
They've now even stared it's 'our first ever flashback episode'.
We know for a fact this isn't the case.
This is insulting to the previous producers and people backstage

It's not been stated that way
Yep and there was another one I believe in earlier years
Didn't that flip from Phil/Kate in Walford in the present to Phil/Lisa in Portugal in the past...I think this will be wholly set in the past that's why its a 1st
That's what I thought?
Then that would be a first!
yes the episode that showed what happened to Diane over a period of about three months as she became a runaway in London and got in with a dodgy crowd.
I was thinking this, but hopefully EastEnders pull if off!:p
It's not much of a spoiler though tbh, most of us guessed it would happen anyway.
I find them tacky and I would rather the characters interact with us then just go down the whole flashbacks route. However this once I think it will work given the whole storyline. It's kind of a great way to mark the 30th too.
It sounds like what happened to Lucy is very complicated, so it won't be particularly interesting, gripping or thrilling to hear a 15 minute long monologue from the killer explaining what happened to Lucy.
just so the people of DS have a different slant on the flashback episode to talk about for the next 6 weeks
