The SNP would never be satisfied.

They only want independance.

It was obvious that they would automatically criticise any proposals for new powers.

It's only going to get worse if Salmond gets his way and is elected in Westminster.

Looks like Scots are "dealing with it" by sending a record amount of MPs to Westminster in May and leaving the rest of the parties with a combined total of MPs in single figures.
Now you should be asking how the leaders of the main parties are going to deal with the fact that they may well need SNP support to get anything through Parliament.

I would rather the SNP explain how they ended up with a budget underspend of £440m+ while claiming there was no money before rubbishing any new powers.

Though it is a possibility the SNP will have a record number of seats for them I'm not so sure there will be any coalition between them and the main parties, the last time anything like this happened with the SNP they had a deal with the Tories in Scotland to support them.

I suspect a similar non coalition deal, if in fact they get the number of seats they think they will.

Mind you right now a vote for SNP is a vote for a Labour Government apparently and so why not cut out the middle man and just vote labour?

It's blindingly obvious: Scotland needs an alternative to the SNP that isn't an English dominated party. A party that can challenge the nonsense coming out of the SNP, stand up for those that want to remain part of the UK and still put Scotland's interests first.

Aye, how many food banks could they have provided with that? Mind you, there's the V&A overspend to pay for.

Because we have done that for nigh on fifty years and it has got us precious little

No doubt starting to hoard money to cover the undisclosed independence set up costs....

I want to know what the SNP would settle for, short of independence.

Good reason to have them in the TV debates so everyone can find out where all the possible players in a future government stand.

    Devo max?

As it stands the U.S. States including Alaska, German States including the city state Hamburg and Aussie States including Tasmania have more powers than the Scottish Parliament, Qubecc have a say over immigration in their state in Canada.

Isn't that rather like asking what FIFA would settle for, short of football?

The SNP lost the vote for independence although you would never think so the way they are behaving .
Their childishness is going against the wishes of the Scottish people.
We should all be pulling together to make the UK stronger.

A debate in Scotland would be appropriate

Yeah how dare they not know their place. How dare a Scottish party put the interests of the Scots first. Oh wait a minute, the clue is in the name. :p

Presuming of course that independence is in the best interests of Scots.

    Well yes, they want independence.

Did everyone think that once the referendum was over that the whole SNP would change their fundamental raison d'être, i.e to achieve independence for Scotland?
They'll carry on fighting until they believe that the 10% can be swung.

They are more powerful now than they have ever been, and the possibility of being kingmakers at Westminster must be tantalizing.

If that was all they had to offer then you may have a point. However, the other policies from the 2011 manifesto proved popular with the electorate. And after nearly 8 years of government they are still the most popular party in Scotland. Clearly Scots still see the SNP as in their interests.

That feels like the way they're going really, just piss off the rest of the UK to the point we're so fed up of it we chuck Scotland out ourselves... And the way they've been acting since they lost the referendum, they seem to be doing a pretty good job of it.

You can't blame them for holding the PM and others to their word.
When the outcome of the referendum seemed to veer towards Yes in the polls, the Westminster government panicked and started making pledges and promises at the 11th hour.

How do you require Scots to be behave? What do they have to do in order win your approval?
