Well then you'd better tell Eccleston as he's saying it's a joint production in his interviews.
It is a "joint production." Like I said in my comment, it a is co-production between Sky and Pivot. Is Eccleston specifically saying "HBO?" If he is, well, that's actors for you. A few years ago John Lithgow won an Emmy for his role in the TV series Dexter. Lithgow publicly thanked HBO. Someone then told Lithgow that Dexter was a series on Showtime, not HBO.
Can't believe the amount of trailers for this on TV and at the cinema. I hope it lives up to all the hype. It looks like a run of the mill serial killer drama in the trailers. Except that it's set in the Arctic.
True but at least Sky is now trying with drama. I think the company was stung by that BBC DG who said all they do us flog other people's content or words to that effect.
Gratuitous sauna scene aside, we could do with a few thrills.
That scene with the stunning woman was the highlight of the whole show for me.
I haven't a clue what the hell is going on , I don't care for any of the characters and probably won't watch any more episodes . So dissappointed .
So Sky hype a new series "Starring Christopher Ecclestone & Michael Gambon" and Chris lasts 40 minutes and he's dead and Gambon is gonna drop any minute
It looked fantastic, the photography is superb, and the setting unusual and wonderful, the scale is huge. I found the overly international casting a bit difficult to accept but I thought the storyline and sense of place intriguing and the quality of the cast is excellent and a bit different. Anything with Sophie Grabol is worth watching. It is very well directed, it doesn't look or feel like anything else on at the moment.
I can't see why people say they have no idea what is going on, it was reasonably clear although obviously there is a mystery or two to be solved. They are obviously researching something ghastly they should not be in the research centre, hence the horrible discovery of the pig. Dan is bring painted as up to no good, he was already in Stoddart's house and already at the scene when the first 'murder' took place, pretty sure Michael Gambon was not the one who killed that guy, but probably Dan is pursuing someone else, maybe? Liam's illness will no doubt turn out to be neither mumps nor polio but something to do with the research and the unpleasant doctor will probably turn out to have no bedside manner but be a goid 'un. I wonder why Liam climbed out the window half naked and what he saw?
I have high hopes for this, apparently there are 12 episodes!

Its intriguing, different, doesnt neatly fit the pigeon holes.
The arctic setting is extraordinary, a sense of nothingness, luminous, the way snow and ice merge into sky. It does seem like another world.
Is there some sort of mutation going on with chemicals that have got out of the lab?
Humans dont seem to fit this environment. It changes them?
You wonder what are the strengths they need to survive it, and hence the title,"Fortitude".
I like the fact I cant place it. Its a challenge.
Ill stick with it and see what happens.

Me neither, and I don't care for any of the characters yet...but it is intriguing so has got my interest and will keep watching to find out what is going on.
The only issue for me is that 12 episodes maybe too long.
I thought it was good , dark and atmospheric with a lot of mystery , husband and no 1 son thought it was good too , no 2 son watched it when we had gone to bed so awaiting his verdict but I will definitely be watching next week .
They are trying to do something different with the advert breaks during this drama, especially in the first break where adverts were all snow/winter related and fitting in with the mood of the drama. The effect was that the ad breaks felt shorter and less intrusive.
Maybe ITV would benefit from doing likewise with their dramas, because their advert breaks have turned people off watching the shows.
Im going to watch the repeat of "Fortitude". Its drawn me in despite myself!

Standard thriller? Science fiction? I haven't got a clue what's going on!
So many questions!
Load of nonsense trying to be classy and sophisticated but no fun to watch.
Come on....it wasn't THAT bad

They are both back in future episodes, worry not.

Very clear what is going on....it's just a bit boring - their had to be a Sauna scene - and the Pig.:o
I'll keep watching, but I don't hold out much hope, I'll be there till the end.:(
Stunning locations.
I found that upsetting & disturbing, I am very much opposed to vivisection.
