This is a stark contrast to "Least favourite singles from your favourite artists/groups?"

What artists and groups do you not like, but you found out you like one of their songs? :o

Good thread. I can't stand Ed Sheeran but this morning heard the A Team and remembered I really like just that one song.

I don't think I have a least favourite artist, I have my favourites, and then I have everyone else, who I'm just indifferent to.

If I don't like an artist then I have no interest in anything they release, so I don't have a favourite single by an artist I don't like.

Quite a good thread idea! I have a lot of artists whose music I normally can't stand but have at least one song I'm kinda ok with.

Nelly - 'Hot In Herre' needs to die, as does most of his material...but keep Dilemma, lovely track.

Ne-Yo - Another rapper with not the best of discographys. I will, however, have the odd listen of 'Let Me Love You' - I like the verse melodies even if the bland EDM chorus is somewhat overwhelming.

Katy Perry - Responsible for the blandest, most irritatingly overplayed songs of the last six years...but I do quite like 'Roar'.

Chris Brown - Wife-beating bastard. But I love Beautiful People.

Rihanna - Extremely overrated bollocks written by a team of about 500 writers and handed to her on a plate. But play 'Umbrella' and I'm 18 again, plus (of all things) 'S&M' is quite a fun club banger. Best thing she's ever been part of though is Princess of China, her collaboration with Coldplay.

Miley Cyrus - One of the nastiest people in music, someone who's long sold her soul to skin-baring, offence-causing horribleness. But there's a oddly warming melancholy to 'We Can't Stop', despite some rather cringeworthy lyrics.

Sadly I draw a complete blank with Justin Bieber, who has no redeeming songs at all.

Does it count if I say Chris Brown, because I hate the man and what he represents, but I think he has an amazing back catalogue? So - don't like him, like all the music.

    Creep by Radiohead.

I really don't like the group, despite all their critical acclaim. I find them dull and morose but I really like this song.

The Saturdays are, by and large, incredibly dire.

But their single Issues, wasn't bad.

The one Beyoncé did for the Austin Powers film was tolerable. I didn't mind 'Beautiful' by Christina Aguilera.

Indifferent to or dislike Miley Cyrus's discography but Wrecking Ball is a cracking tune.

    Paramore - The Only Exception
(for me it just has that feel of a classic song, but I find their other stuff pretty lightweight and forgettable)

    Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff
(I really don't like Fred Durst or his style of singing, but this works incredibly well as an aggressive but fun song)

Avril Lavigne - What The Hell
(really catchy and her only song where I don't find her voice really annoying)

    The Smiths - Panic
(I tend to find their stuff sounds really tinny and wishy-washy, this is their only song I don't feel indifferent to)
