I don't think he was joking or trolling - you'd need at least a modicum of intelligence for that, and it's plain than he has none.
    He's a complete arse.

Ironic, seeing who his wife is :D

Beck is famously easy going. He won't blink twice if West did rant there and then. Yes, West did a mini rant later, but when he went up to Beck, he was joking.

Not that it'd make a difference as you clearly dislike him. So be it. :)

I'm sorry but beck being a nice guy doesn't give west licence to act the bollocks

I didn't know Beck was a Scientologist, but i really think your comments should be aired in a separate thread. If i like and enjoy someone's music i couldn't care less whether they're Christian, Catholic, Muslim or Jewish.

And I happen to think the record-buying public should be made aware of what he spends his royalty money on.

This is a thread discussing his win at the Grammys and the fact Scientology decided to buy advertising space during the show is a sure sign the organisation intend to latch onto his current success as a marketing ploy. My role is to bring that information to people's attention.

As for your comments regarding religion, I am critical of actions carried out by the organisation known as the Church of Scientology, not the beliefs.

It would come as zero shock to me if Mr West wasn't acting upon 'voices' in his head.

Sometimes I wonder about the mental health of some of these noisier, more erratic celebs. And Hollywood seems to favour a culture of placating spoilt brats and glossing over cracks rather than dealing with things that could be more serious.

Well he does hang out with Louis Farrakhan :D

Beck's a dedicated Scientologist and on record as donating to the IAS war chest, which is used to fund harassment of cult critics through court cases and other tactics such as paying private investigators to follow people and search through their household rubbish.

I'm quite sure it's no co-incidence that Scientology decided to air a television advert during the Grammys.

To a certain extent Beck is a victim of the cult since his parents raised him in it but he should be held accountable for his actions as an adult and members of the public buying his records should be aware of what their money is being used for.
So Beck being a Scientologist means he is fair game to be publicly humiliated on one of the biggest nights of his career? For what it's worth, he is not of of these celebrity converts to Scientology. Like you said, his parents were both Scientologists so he grew up in it. I'm sure he does donate money to the Church - that's one of their rules, isn't it? But he is no Tom Cruise, shoving his views into people's faces. He goes about his business quietly, without bothering anyone, so I'm not sure why his personal beliefs are being dragged into this.

I'm not sure if I admire Beck for being so nice about the whole thing, or if I'm angry that he didn't tell the monstrously arrogant prick West to go **** himself.

Well Shirley Manson's told him off anyway.

He should burst into tears and apologise profusely.

If nothing else but for inflicting the Kardashian empire upon us all, thank you Kanye West very much indeed. Not. :p:(

I'm pretty sure an apology episode is probably being written right now for his wife's reality dreck show.

Mr West seems to think he's some kind of gifted visionary genius whereas he's actually just a f**king arsehole with a HUGE chip on his shoulder.

Well done to Beck for handling it all with great dignity. If it was me, I'd have told him to go back and sit with his slutty porn star wife and get the f**k off my stage!

Is thus a rhetorical question, as I can't think if name any of KW's output-ever, let alone the last five years!

What really gets me is that Kanye said Beyoncé didn't win because people don't respect artistry. Beyoncé made a great album, but she about 15-20 other writers (up to 5 on a single song), plus who knows how many producers and other collaboraters.

Beck wrote and produced his entire album, sang all of the lead vocals, played 16 different instruments, arranged the majority of the tracks, and recorded most of the material in three days.

    That's flippin artistry.

Kanye wouldn't know artistry even if it bit his wife on her large posterior. :D

    This ^^^^^^^^^

I thought Beck came out of it really well, he was very gracious and he actually looked quite thrilled when KW started to come up on stage.

It's a bit creepy, the way KW is always pleading Beyonce's cause, as though she can't speak for herself. If I were her, I'd kick him in the knackers and tell him to STFU.

I've got all of Beck's albums and I really couldn't give a stuff how he spends his cash, I love his music and that's why I buy it.

You didn't watch it, did you?

He didn't jump up on stage and complain. He did jump up on stage jokingly like he was about to say something, but in fact quickly turned back around and sat down.

He did have a rant afterwards that Beck won instead of Beyonce. He really does need to shut the hell up.

Before his mother passed away he seemed to be a decent guy, but since that happened he really has gone off the deep end. Totally f*cked with his head.

Total tosser and attention seeker. It was Beck's moment and Kanye had to make it all about himself again. If I was Beyoncé I'd be mortified too that this idiot was doing this.

The "apple hasn't fallen far from the tree" either - as his daughter had a meltdown at his fashion show in New York too. Mind you the way she is being pimped out at every opportunity is scary - almost as bad as his fashion sense .

Vulgar man, vulgar wife - both egomaniacal narcissists who deserve each other.

Celebs who take a toddler to a fashion show, deserve to be on the receiving end of a monster tantrum.

To anyone with half a brain, fashion shows are one of the most boring spectacles on earth, to a toddler with an attention span a little longer than that of a goldfish, it must be absolute hell.

Why to celebs insist on dragging their kids to stuff like this? It was bad enough when they started bringing their inbred, handbag-sized dogs along!

:o She isn't even two years old yet, think BIB is a bit over the top! :D
