I know there is a couple round the corner that beat the crap out of each other. I thought someone was being attacked when I first moved here but no it was custard and smudge at it again.
I don't know if it was this island, but a cat island featured on the Japan edition of "Must love cats". There the cats were venerated as they had all scarpered up the hill when a tsunami was imminent, giving the people enough warning to save themselves:kitty:

I've seen a cat temple in Rome. They wandered around the ruins and slept on the altar - wondering where it had all gone wrong probably.
I also liked The Hemmingway House in Key West. It has 50 cats living in the gardens. Ernest Hemmingway stipulated in his will that there must always be cats there. They are also all mutants with 6 toes.
