    I'm trying to see a positive ... it's not a ballad, it's a Charleston, it's got potential for staging.

    But, yeah, I'm incredibly disappointed.

The UK can't do uptempo at Eurovision. It's the kind of song that comes 7th in a Lithuanian NF. Gah!

Katie Taylor, UK Controller of Entertainment Production says:

I am certain Electro Velvet will dazzle in Vienna for Eurovision's Diamond Anniversary and do the UK proud.

She never goes away, does she :D

Another failure will risk the end of British participation once the license fee renewal comes in to force the BBC will be at the mercy of the Sun and Mail quite a bit
I can see it coming 27th.

How many times are you going to keep posting that hogwash?

Ok that was bad. They can't translate this on stage either only 4 people allowed. What a load of pap. Crushed. lol. It is catchy though, ashamed to say.

I never expect anything from the UK anyway :p I'm just happy it's something uptempo. Cringeworthy in every possible fashion, but uptempo.

I liked the way they didn't even introduce who the hell they were before the song started. Like a name or anything.

The dude's voice is awful even on recording. This has the potential for Jemini vocals. Like I genuinely love electro swing but this is just not a good representation of it.

But my God, this was the best?! It's so dated! I'm so sorry guys. You thought Bonnie and Englebert were outdated...

My stream died during the interview, but if none of the judges turned around for you, that probably isn't a good sign.

Ok - one positive thing is that it obviously has a very strong theme so there could be great potential for staging if the BBC get it right...

This might be better live. Really hate his "skiddlydoo" bit though.

I love playing forum fan bingo...:D

But there is already two of them, plus probably 2 backing singers. It'll be 2 naff dancers lol

    I know :(

I'm just trying my hardest not to be a negative nelly!

I seriously hate it though. By far the worst UK entry for me (based on first listen) since TSGTM

I can't see how it'd be staged. And I imagine there voices are gonna be weak live

Didn't the Germans enter a similar song in 2009, and that came near the bottom IIRC?
