Dinner and jazz bar suggestions in London
Looking to treat my other half in London in a few weeks time to a nice night out to celebrate a few things. I don't really know London too well so looking for suggestions of a nice restaurant and then a jazz bar afterwards that does cocktails. Ideally not having to travel too far between the two venues.
Budget for the dinner, excluding drinks, I would say is around £70. Any type of cuisine apart from curries.
I was looking at the restaurants in the Shard but at like £30 for a main course, it's a bit out of our price range if we were wanting two courses, Just looking for a nice restaurant, something we may not normally go too but not too expensive.
Any ideas?

the jazz café is also great, but it's a bit less jazz and a bit more funk and hip hop but it depends on what's on. the food is great but I'm not sure on prices as I've never had to pay for anything there, but I don't think it's expensive. the website should give ideas
I know someone who works at pizza jazz but never been, but they say it's good
personally I'd eat in one place and then go see jazz elsewhere, like Ronnie scotts. check their website and see what's on as you can get some of the real greats playing there if you pick the right time. theres also 3 shows a night
