There was a survey that showed immigrants hardly use the NHS.

In that case there is no problem asking them to take out private health insurance or go back home for treatment.

Anyway I suspect it is because the NHS don't check their immigration status properly.

Re immigration. At least we don't have boatloads of illegal immigrants being rescued in our waters each day like they have in Italy right now.

You think they all stay in Italy?

Strong words from Sturgeon, anything to get rid of the stench of the Tory party.

He was reading a quote from Farage.

I never feel bringing up the high percentage of immigrants in the NHS is that relevant to Farage, as wouldn't they top the points system that he wants?

They would if they were doctors, engineers.

So where do they go when they get sick or have accidents? I'd have thought it should be consistant across immigrant and non immigrant populations

The Europeans prefer to be treated in their own countries - they still pay taxes here.

edit- not when there's a serious accident obviously.

    Completely agree it's becoming unwatchable.

Just joined the thread and haven't read it.

I just wish that someone would ask the horrendous Australian woman with her airy-fairy happiness for all, how will she fund it. Vote for her and we'll all be happy everafter.

Sturgeon says she will prop up a Lab government. So the choice is there for the voters for what they want to see.

Ed's grin before the last question creeped me out.
He seems to delight in trying to wind farage up because he hasn't got the confidence to take the women on as his spin doctors have told him not to look as if he's too aggressive on the women.

0% profit for private companies in the NHS? So businesses should supply instruments, drugs and equipment - everything from toilet rolls to MRI machines - at cost price?

Indeed. Her idea is a nonsense.

UKIP would take this country back a hundred years.

Farage clearly wants to sell the NHS off.
