What happens if Newcastle and Sunderland finish on the same goal difference and the same points? Is the table based on head to head results between the teams?
It does look like Hull City will fill the last relegation slot this year, unless there is a shock and they beat Man UTD. I cannot see this though, although anything can happen in football.

United will be the favourites for sure, but I don't think it's a given. United have played really poorly at times this season, and with Hull being at home and United having nothing to play for with Top 4 confirmed, Hull could surprise them.
I just want Sunderland to stay up personally, as I have a soft spot for them. Newcastle vs. West Ham will be intriguing, but I'd back a home win despite their atrocious form. West Ham have just completely fallen off the map really, having confirmed mid table mediocrity some time ago.
And rather ominously from a Newcastle perspective:
-Newcastle, Sunderland and Hull fighting over the final relegation spot
- Newcastle playing a team in Claret and Blue
- Hull playing Man United
- Hull managed by a Geordie
- Game on the same day as the Monaco Grand Prix
A bit like 2009, and we all know what happened then.

Also, Newcastle were relegated on May 24th. This Sunday is exactly 6 years since then.
Newcastle should be fine though as I can't see Hul beating Man Utd.

If Hull get a win, Newcastle also have to get a win.
A draw would relegate them on goal difference.
I think they're equally impressive for different reasons. Leicester's resurrection seemed to be extended over a longer period, with more wins and some fine football. However, Sunderland came up against the tougher opponents (although United under Moyes were not exactly firing on all cylinders) Still, the result against Chelsea alone was superb. Great efforts.
Like you lot, Leicester were dead and buried! But they've done fantastically to get out the trapdoor!
What Sunderland did was brilliant and they rightly got the plaudits but Leicester was better
I'm not saying Leicester didnt do amazingly well- they did. But 3 of their 6 wins were against West Ham, Burnley & Newcastle- not exactly teams in fantastic form- to say the least.
The greatest saga of this entire season has been leicslad's running commentary on how Leicester are definitely doomed and are going down and as a realist all of their fans are deluded if they think they'll be safe because that's not realistic. Extra shifts available at the Samaritans, I hear.

I just think that's a little disingenuous, especially when you consier where Leicester were before the run. It doesn't matter who they beat, they still had to go out and do it.
Leicester were on their knees and staring championship football in the face. To turn it round like they have is worthy of being called miraculous and indeed a great escape. Seven points adrift of safety to securing premier league status for another season is amazing and stunning
That's all nice, but you were still calling their demise even before the game they confirmed safety by earning a point with a game yet to play. You seem almost let down by their success.
Surprised leicslad46 hasn't made a 'second season is always tougher, they'll sink like a sack of potatoes, but i'll stick with them through thick and thin, the useless b*stards' post yet.
I watched that film for the first time yesterday, talk about a misleading title. Only three of them getting away and fifty lads shot in a field? I picked the wrong film for a pick-me-up.

Nope.
Aint going to do the post you were suggesting. In fact i am quite relaxed by next season. Cant wait til june 17th when the fxtures come out and august 8th when it all begins again.
As for this season hull look doomed. Though saying that they will probably win and either newcastle or sunderland will go down

Tell me you're not stopping up now?

and I think we can do you again next Sunday
You reckon Leicesters was better than ours?
We could quite easily still go- it's unlikely but this is Sunderland- we oftenfind a way to **** things up
Absolutely I do. And so does the football world.
You're safe. Even the most pessimistic fan would admit it now. You're even going to finish above us. It's as certain as night and day

Ah the media? Including Leicester fan Gary Lineker?
16 West Brom 33 33
17 Norwich City 34 32
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
18 Fulham 34 30
19 Cardiff City 34 29
20 Sunderland 32 25
Fixtures:
Man City (A)
Chelsea (A)
Cardiff (H)
Man Utd (A)
WBA (H)
Swansea (A)
With those fixtures..comfortably the greatest escape for many years

and no we're not anywhere near safe.. these results would relegate us:
Arsenal 3 SAFC 0
Chelsea 2 SAFC 0
Newcastle 0 West Ham 0
Hull 1 Man Utd 0
I and thousands of fellow fans will be crapping ourselves come 3pm Sunday- It would be some escape given the position a month ago

Leicester's escape the best ever.
Necastle have the easiest game but don't know how to win anymore.
