Hi I'm new to the forum and don't knwo if this is the right place to put this but I am running a full marathon on 14th June(Liverpool Rock n Roll) for a charity called Olivia's Vision(Charity number: 1138599).
They help raise funds for research, specialist training, awareness and support for Uveitis sufferers. There are 9,000 new cases of Uveitis every year in the UK(10% being children) . it is the third leading causes of blindness . It can happen to anyone at any age. The namesake of the charity, Olivia lost her eye sight in one eye at the age of 9. She is now 15 and is studying her GCSE's and completed a 20km hike for her Duke of Edinburgh whilst still suffering from Uveitis.
I am new here but not necessarily new to forums. it has been years though since I was on any forum, the last possibly being the Channel 4 crazy forums for Big Brother. That is now a distant nightmare lol
Anyway, I have lots of thoughts, am often somewhat opinionated but I also like to debate rather than argue about various topics.
So, be seeing you folks.
PS my Username will tell you that I'm female , I am also Irish.

Hey, I'm not new on here but was hoping someone could help me find a couple of long-running threads on the GD sub-forum: the one where workers dish the dirt on company practices and policies they don't want the public to know; and the thread about famous people who aren't dead yet. The search function on here is shockingly bad. Thanks.

Och you'll be posting away in no time. The 1st post is the most daunting, it's all downhill from now on.
Been reading for a while and joined as a member in March but thought it was about time to submit my first post! Here it is.
