Global warning....bah!
Has the myth of global warning been scuppered by this new report?

The earth is 15 years from a "mini ice-age" that will cause bitterly cold winters during which rivers such as the Thames freeze over, scientists have predicted.
Solar researchers at the University of Northumbria have created a new model of the sun's activity which they claim produces "unprecedented accurate predictions".

I really can't see how you can claim this predicted "ice-age" is anything to do with global warming given the cause will be a fall in solar activity
On another note I'm looking forward to seeing how the Express reacts when they pick up the story
Is this the type of 'evidence' and argument the global warming fanatics have descended to?
Its either a "scientific fact" or it isn't. UNLESS the issue has been hijacked by politicians and others for other reasons.
Its all Greek to me anyway, so all I do is recycle everything, just in case it helps, but even if it doesnt, recycling saves resources
While it is true that the colder weather at that time caused the Thames to freeze over. A major contributing factor was the old London Bridge (The one with houses on it). The arches on that bridge were so narrow that the flow of the water was slowed down making it easier for the water to freeze.
This will not be the case if the report is true.
One isolated study that has nothing to do with climate change leads you to suggest that the myth of global warming has been scuppered?
Troll.
1) Weather and Climate are totally different things.
2) Weather forecasts are accurate (http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/about-us/who/accuracy/forecasts)
Powell identified 69,406 authors named in the articles, four of which rejected climate change as being caused by human emissions.
That’s one in every 17,352 scientists.
0.006% of the scientists rejected the idea of anthropogenic climate change.
Clearly the scientific jury is still out!
Who issued it? the UN? the IMF?
Should I be digging a shelter in the garden, buying up canned goods and fashioning a hat out of tinfoil?
I merely reported something I read. Perhaps the most important piece of the article was:
Solar researchers at the University of Northumbria have created a new model of the sun's activity which they claim produces "unprecedented accurate predictions".
However, as with other topics, your lack of expertise is welcome.:D
You didn't merely report, you added the loaded question "Has the myth of global warning been scuppered by this new report?"
Your question states that global warming is a myth, that is your opinion. Don't pretend you're merely reporting something.
I don't need to be an expert to see through your pathetic bias.
Yes I did refer to the "myth", like millions of people and many scientists who think that the case for global warming is over-egged and in many cases, downright fraudulent.
Unsurprisingly, you take a view that may well prove to be wrong.
What is your motive for pretending otherwise?
No sense of irony.
Edit: And you didn't, you made sad claims about climate change, which is backed by every world scientific institution and then cited mainstream science. See above.
Every major world scientific institution backs the findings of the IPCC, if you are banking that they all "may well prove to be wrong" you are quite desperate.
The point isn't whether I'm right or wrong. It is that you can't tell the difference between "merely reporting" something, and pushing a totally one sided biased argument. If you don't even understand this, you understand nothing.
You'd do well at the Mail or any other paper that is more about presenting an agenda more than "reporting" on events.
I do believe in climate change. I believe the climate changes constantly and always will. And I believe in respecting the environment purely for the sake of it and not because of the threat of some fantastical climate apocalypse.
Which makes my envrionmental credentials stronger than most "climate change" extremists.
