Picking all the worst songs so far, all the best ones were from early 80s

Adam Ant blaming John Lennon's death for Antmusic not getting to number 1

    How very selfish of Lennon.

I've got it in my mind that I didn't really listen to pop music in the 80s as I'd moved to Classical by then

err, but I know all these songs.........:D

Not so. All the best ones were spread throughout the decade.

Zoe said that the Communards single was one of two cover versions in the Top 20

I expect the other to be Always on my Mind.

I put this on thinking "Im not a big fan of 80s music", but every one so far a classic.

Heart & Soul by T'Pau was a much better song than China In Your Hand (it even had a "white, middle class rap" ala West End Girls) but most people only seem to remember China....

True is a fabulous album, although personally I think True is one of the weaker tracks.

Still haven't got a clue what could be Number One. They already briefly featured Band Aid in the summary of charity records so it can't be that. Maybe it's Careless Whisper, Beat It or The Power Of Love (Jennifer Rush)?

This Whitney track has to be one of her worse for me.

She recorded so many better songs than this. Her 1988 number 1 One Moment In Time is far better.
