Is it still Daniel P Carter? Whilst I am obviously not the target audience I have tried to give it a go, but having grown up on Alan "Fluff" Freeman's Saturday Rock Show and The Friday Rock Show with Tommy Vance the only word that comes to mind with the current incarnation is.... Dire.
Have to agree here. Alan Freeman, Tommy Vance and maybe Nicky Horne ( on Capital) were the catalyst for me too.
Off Topic a little, I'm off to the Ramblin' Man festival this weekend, any else going? if so, who would you be most looking forward to seeing?
Unfortunately, I can only go for the one day, the Saturday.
Looking forward to seeing how BOC sound these days, like a bit of Dream Theater, and for pure entertainment value I'm pervesly looking forward to seeing Saxon again after many years.....interspersed with some brief visits to the prog stage, and maybe longer visits to the bar

I last saw BOC in 1981 at Monsters Of Rock, so it has been a while. I so love Dream Theater but for me Anathema will always trump them
Of all the bands I've listed that I want to see, it is only Seasick Steve I've not seen before
on Tuesday ir was 28 years since Appetite for Destruction was released, where has the time gone? I was only 15 at the time but the album sounds as good today as it did when i first got a copy on cassette

Just got 2 tickets for Tony Wright and MIllys xmas show at Gullivers in Manchester, always liked Tone seems like a down to earth funny guy when i have seen him before.
Gonna be a busy week Clutch on 10th, Orange Goblin 16th and now this on the 18th, then bed for a few days, not as young as i used to be
This a friends' band called Employed To Serve. I think they're absolutely brilliant and think they're going to be huge. Best band I've heard in quite a while. Get shivers towards the end of the song. Please give it a go.

Well, I gave it a go, good luck to them, but most certainly not my cup of tea.
Got my pre-order in for the album on Amazon, and also tickets for their tour with Motorhead. Hopefully they will also do a headline tour for the album as well.
Just ordered my tickets for Motorhead/Saxon/Girlschool in Jan.
Hopefully Lemmy's health will hold out, they have got a load of dates between now and then.
Its a shame on their 40th anniversary tour Motorhead are not playing a couple of smaller venues i saw Phil Campbell at Norwich a few years back with his band they were awesome,i love Motorhead but in more intimate venues.

I know what you mean Rich, and also a date in Wales would have been appreciated.

It's alright that, but they always were a great band.
Never got into them but Cyberwaste is a savage song.

Absolutely fair enough!
As they say, it would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing.
Couldn't agree more!
