Yes! And that's the one player I would have given the hook, so what do I know ;-) Great "dummy" from Rooney too...

I like Mata but he is our weak link at the moment, not creating and not finishing. We really need pace on the right and that's not Mata

You posting this was bound to get him scoring. Well done:D

romeros kicking is making me tear my hair out and the german needs to realise he wont get as much time on the ball here as he might have done in germany

Would be nice to have a strike partnership eh?

That direct option just isn't available to us.

I'm not blaming Romero. There is no way that ball should have taken the defence out like that!

Totally negative I know but it's not enjoyable to watch us these days. Possession without purpose or end result.
May sound dramatic but it breaks my heart. Dave Sexton got sacked for playing football the fans hated (his results weren't that bad). I'm not advocating that we get rid of LVG yet but why does ne not get the notion of attacking with pace?

Even if we come back to draw this, surely LVG knows what he has to do to improve the team.....

Rooney wanted at least another 30 minutes to shoot that.

What a missed chance this was, I am not happy with the result, with other results going our way yesterday, we simply had to win today.

Swansea are a good team no doubt about that, and I think that they will finish quite high up, but we simply had to win today, just to keep the momentum from mid-week, and to not let City have too much of a lead, even at this very early stage.

Beating Liverpool after the international break, is something that we really need to do, if we are to not fall further behind.

We have some more tough games coming up, and so we really do need to up our performance levels quite a bit, especially going forward.

Today was just not good enough though.

Too many people took the Brugges result at face value. I suspect the team did too.

Depay is weak and ineffective in the Premier League so far - Rooney too dawdling on the ball.

As expected, Fellaini on just invites long ball after long ball.

Romero with terrible kicking and goes scarily wooly once the defence parts.

Two holding midfielders is just so safe, dreary and slow.

    Another excruciating watch.

Well done Swansea. You outplayed us.

We just can't do it in the prem ATM. Maybe we won't do it at all if things don't change...

They deserved nothing out of this game. Result was fitting.

Absolutely mindboggling decision from Carrick to pass the ball to the halfway line with the crowd mock-blowing for the final whistle and 10 seconds left in stoppage time.

If Moyes was in charge of that performance he would rightly be taking a hammering.

Team should be sitting on maximum points if they have an aspirations for a title challenge. Dropping points away to Swansea and at home to Newcastle shows no improvement on the last two seasons.

Something has to change, this is nowhere near good enough at the moment, we are just slow and easy to defend against.

The one time anyone actually ran with the ball, we scored, so it shouldn't be that hard to figure out what we need to do more of!

I am just so frustrated at the moment with today's game, and our performances in general this season.

Big, big game now for both teams when we come back and play Liverpool.
