Anyone else glad tomorrow marks the start of Autumn, meteorological at least anyway? I love Autumn, the colours, evenings drawing in sat in front of the fire, Halloween, the list could go on.

Has felt like its been most of August to me its one the crappiest I can remember in the 30 years.
Its been a wet and below average month.
Lets hope that Autumn maybe more settled.

Here in NI we've not had a spell of good weather since the first week of July.

Depressing as hell. I love summer and had a great time being outdoors a deal even with the weather not being all that wonderful. Urgh.

    Autumn tomorrow?

It's not like someone throws a switch and the summer weather is gone.

I can cope with the rain and the milder temperature, it's the long dark nights I can't stand.

I had one family barbecue this year! Scotland has been pretty crap. I'd like a cold winter though, with snow!

According to the Met Office - for their convenience, Autumn is September 1st until November 30th
    BUT
.In the astronomical calendar, the beginning of autumn is marked by the autumn equinox which occurs around the 22 September.

Time to get shopping for boots, jumpers and jackets. I love summer but feel like I can dress much better and look nicer in the autumn. Plus I need to do my autumn hair as well. Every cloud and all that :)

Yep. Give me a walk though a leafy yellow park, mild sun with a wee breeze and a spot of drizzle....

Then get home, put the heating on with a cup of hot chocolate and an a black and white film....

So happy the warmer weather plus burning up due to my medications have been murder. Not that we have had what you could call warm weather in Scotland this summer if it goes above ten degrees we are fortunate. I think everyone in Scotland should carry a picture of the sun in their pocket to remind themselves of what it looks like.

It was sunny at Deep Sea World today lovely views going across the Forth Road Bridge.

We have summer every single year - and all the other seasons as well.

The fact that they might not be to your liking does not alter the fact that they still occur.

    Exactly!

Wish people would stop saying we haven't had a summer when that's blatantly not true

Good thing too, as they forgot to turn the switch on at the start of June :p
