Labour frontbenchers announce resignations within minutes of news hardline leftwinger had won leadership contest
Leadership rival Yvette Cooper confirms she will not serve under Corbyn, followed by Tristram Hunt and Liz Kendall
Rachel Reeves, Chuka Umunna, Jamie Reed and Emma Reynolds also refuse to serve under radical new leader
A total of 422,000 of the 550,000 Labour members took part in the vote, with Corbyn taking more than 251,000

    They've proved pretty useless over the last 5 years and got thrashed in an election most people thought Labour would win

    Give someone else a chance !

    Tories in Labour clothes every single one of them. Smug freeloaders on the make. I hope Yvette Cooper and Ed Balls end up living in a B&B on benefits.

    Petulant responses imo. It must be hard for them, having positioned themselves on the right for so long to now tack left with any credibility. So yes a fking disaster, but only really for their careers :D

    If they're daft enough to resign, that's their daft fault. Chuka Umunna's coming across as a hypocrite.

    And what the hell is Jeremy? To my mind, he's not exactly labour working class, is he. From Wiltshire, and represents the champagne socialist borough of Islington North. I can't understand how the unions like him so much. He's not one of them.

    You don't have to be working class to be a proper socialist.

    Tony Benn and Michael Foot are good examples.

    He must be well aware that most FMs wonder on his "date and discuss" clownish style.
    He just does it to annoy, I've put him on ignore, but if his post is quoted I can't avoid seeing it.

    I'm wondering how welcome the 40% that didn't back Corbyn are going to be feeling over the coming months?

    Not very from what I'm seeing online.

    Corbyn will not be able to control his supporters.

    I hope Dawn Butler makes it to the front bench. I'm a huge fan of her. There is so much potential on the Labour back benchers but they tried to play it safe with Tory lites such as Hunt and it didn't work. He for one was useless as education sec, he is of no loss!
