I wonder how much the latter part of the episode was boosted by people tuning in for TXF.

Still a poor figure for the soap which was advertised for the Sunday, has a big storyline building and ITV's biggest show following straight afterwards ;)

When was it advertised? There was a message after the Friday ep but that's it. Hardly a poor figure. Over 6m with +1. I expected mid 5's.

Anything for Friends yesterday on C5 (12PM-5PM) and Comedy Central (5PM-9PM)?

    Many thanks.

Was this the first time C5 have shown Friends? I wonder if they'll take advantage of those rights more - it's dated well and still could be a good filler.

Going forward I think for future series of Big Brother and Celeb Big Brother they really need to look at their schedules, they need to scrap the Saturday highlights show completely this is the lowest rated show of the week and will help raise the average series numbers. They also need to take evictions away from Fridays as it's no longer seen as some sort of event and ratings don't even rise for evictions anymore (not sure if this will work as I remember reading something a few years ago about what times and days the council would allow them to air live shows), instead they should air a bumper hightlights/eviction show on Sundays for 90 mins. Fridays should just air highlights or some sort of immunity task.

@overnightstv: #XFactor had the highest audience of the night, with 7.3m/32.5% watching from 8pm on ITV @ollyofficial @syco http://t.co/DSYC3PhVGB

    Still poor against 2014.

If X Factor stats in the 7m region that's a success for them.

I think its ok for them, better than other shows etc etc but success is a bit of a stretch.

Moving evictions away from Friday surely is harder than it sounds. It's not in thr middle of nowhere like it was 14 years back. Noise complaints? They'd need to give nearby residents the heads up on a non Friday day. It's probably difficult enough for CBB doing evictions on a Tuesday due to it being middle of the week.

As always great for the older skewing reliable ones on BBC1 which are always robust... Countryfile, Antiques etc... Pointless Celebrities looks very low, is it always that low? Very good for An Inspector Calls, quite a fair bit higher than what was there last week.

Top Gear? Tell me that was a repeat. It surely couldn't have been a new episode.

X Factor didn't do too badly at all, I think we need to expect the low 7m-high 7m for the auditons/bootcamp. But I can imagine it dropping to the mid 6m in the live shows. Jimmy Rose lost almost 1m did it not? :o

Time Crashers, thought it'd be higher due to it's quite funny inclusion on Gogglebox, I thought people would tune in for the WTF factor :p Not great for This is England, maybe I was optimistic but I thought it'd be an easy mid 2m rater, but I guess now, I also thought it would take a chunk out of CBB. Speaking of, 1.55m for CBB is not bad at all despite the increased competition. The last 2 Sundays got 1.17m and 1.31m, so another increase is great to see. Makes me think it could be closer to the 1.7m region tonight.

    Thanks lewi

I remember Robbie suggesting that the Corrie audience wouldn't budge even if there was a nuclear attack - well the same could be said for CF and AR.

Pointless is now on 7 days a week.

From 6pm till 10.30pm the BBC remains strong.

It's not often that I watch ITV live, but I think that I saw a couple of adverts for Corrie. It is the sort of thing that the BBC should do when they shuffle EE around.

I stumbled across Pointless yesterday and I was a little confused. I hadn't realized that it had gone 7 days a week now. Still if its popular as they say .......... and its on possibly 3 or 4 times a day now with the repeat showings on Challenge

Bake Off ratings are just ridiculous lol. How is it comparing to the officials from last year?

I wonder how well Bake Off: The Professionals will do.

Edit: just checked the first five episodes (presuming my figures are correct which they probably aren't), the first five eps of GBBO2K14 averaged 9.35 million. Is that correct?

It's the same with tipping point and the chase often now shown at weekends and sometimes in the week after the 10pm news

Unfortunately they will flog them all to death and then struggle to find replacements. Now is the time to try new things not just run and run with them until they are burnt out - and then panic. Channel 4 have found this with Deal or No Deal, and probably will soon with the constant repeating of Come Dine With Me.

Less is more as they say.

I saw a few minutes of TXF on ITV2 on the Sunday I think, and it was probably the wrong point to turn on - the standard 'do you have another song, perhaps something gospel'. It felt a little too manipulated to me.

I know, a few minutes does not a whole show make. I dare not enter the TXF forum on here, its a little like the Politics one. I fear that I would be eaten alive. :D

GBBO ratings are insane - wonder how long they can keep this up. Its certainly flavour of the month right now.

They mentioned it after Friday's 8:30pm Corrie.
They also mentioned it on Saturday before The X Factor (which I turned over from)
They mentioned it yesterday lunch time too.
The BBC fail in this matter but you would think they'd be on it seeing as EastEnders is rarely out of slot.
