Catch Duncan doing a bit of acting in Sea Of Souls tomorrow night. He plays John Tudor. Should be good. :D
:) Excellent! Must remember to watch!

Now - is he really a multi-millionaire entrepreneur, or an actor planted in the den? Conspiracy theorists begin..................................now.

Thought I was seeing things until I checked the credits. Playing a crook, eh? Who'd have thought?

Seriously folks, does anyone know if he's done any other acting, or was this a cameo thanks to a friend in the production team or something ?

OK, just checked IMDB, he has acted before; IMDB entry

I wouldn't give up the day job if I was him. :) That shrine of him on the wall was a bit creepy. :p

I wonder if any of the Dragon's have had any idea's of ramming him into the river?

Probably too late for anyone here, but a repeat of a series one episode is currently on BBC2.

The one with the pitch for growing black truffles... :)

Excellent!! I've forgotten most of the S1 pitches (although I'd no doubt remember them if I saw them). I just managed to catch them closing the deal there, so wasn't really worth it, but good to see that there's some more on in the near future :D

I unfortunately did not watch the first series and only caught the "Best Of..." show shortly after it finished, so looking forward to catching up :)

    Two new dragons.

Doug and Rachel are leaving. Rachel I can understand, but it will be sad to see Doug go. Perhaps the new people will spice the show up.

Series 3 will be 8 episodes.

During the last series, Doug didn't invest in anyone, and only seemed to be there as a foil to Ballantynes comments and to pick any fragile business plan to pieces. I won't miss him.

What is concerning me is the US tv career of Peter Jones. It's taking off, and he is trying to get his (and Simon Cowells) format 'American Inventor' made over here. I fear if he is sucessful in this, then he'll turn his back on the Den - and the show will be poorer for it.

Bugger. I had a feeling Doug wouldn't do another series. I won't enjoy it anywhere near as much now.

I'll miss Doug's input to the show but I won't miss Rachel. Maybe in series 4 she'll be there with a pitch trying to get some money for her new venture

When I saw that news, I immediately thought of you, Ferrari Red and hoped you wouldn't be too upset, as I know (from the Appentice thread) how much you like watching him. :)

When he didn't make any investments last series, I thought the same.

I'm trying to remember - did Doug make any investments in the first two series (that didn't then collapse)?

I will miss Dougs overwhelming negativity
and the way he always had it primed to take
away a persons fragile sense of confidence

And the way he barely looked at any of the
Oliver Twist types, that dared to ask for more

    I can see it now...

Rachel: "Hello, My name's Rachel, and my idea is..."

    Duncan: "I'm out."

    (She makes pitch)

Peter: "That's not a very professional blouse you're wearing. I'm out."

Theo: "I already do something similar. It's not very original. Why should I consider investing? I'm not convinced. I'm out."

Sir Alan: "I'm not impressed, Your plan is flawed from the start. I think you're a lightweight. You're fired!"

    Oh sorry, wrong show. :D
