I actually like that they sound similar though because SM is one of my favourite unreleased tracks, and it seemed to have 'evolved' into Light it Up (Ryan produced Save Myself)
Whenever the first few seconds of the new Will Young song comes on the radio (Love Revolution), I always think "Under my Thumb, The Stones, yeeeaaahh!!", then get very disappointed. They don't sound that similar when played back to back I suppose.
'Music' by John Miles (1976) - the orchestral fanfare bang in the middle (03:00) of 'Music' would two years later be heard as the theme to Blake's 7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAsvjVx-Mg4
Dawn feat. Tony Orlando - Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Ole Oak Tree
Brotherhood Of Man - Save Your Kisses For Me
The intro, verses and the backing music of these two songs are very similar. I only realised when Tie A Yellow Ribbon came on the radio recently and I started singing Save Your Kisses For Me and I realised I was singing the wrong song.
Coldplay sampled the track (according to the Wikipedia article on "Talk").
Fair enough, I don't follow Coldplay so I'm not likely to read up on them but I will throw this one that I found after I followed your link which led me to something else 'Viva La Vida' by Coldplay sounds like 'If I Could Fly' by Joe Satriani https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvB9Pj9Znsw

No, "Supreme" just samples "I Will Survive".
