... In the audience
We've just been told to dress as if we're coming to court with none of the obvious logos and stripes etc.
Can anyone advise? Does this mean shirt and smart skirt/trousers or do people wear casual clothes in court? Really no idea as I've never been to court. Really excited though . Was told they are strict with clothes so want to get it right and will need to go out and buy something especially as I just have alternative wear, thanks.

The folk round here wear tracksuits to court, so I think that would be acceptable.
Wear something similar to what other members of the audience wear. If it's like normal crown court you can dress pretty casual for jury service, so presumably it's the same for an audience member (the viewing gallery is the equivalent in crown court). Normally, it wouldn't be a problem wearing clothing with logos, but it's different when it's broadcast on the TV, in terms of free advertising.
When I did jury service a few years ago, some of the jurors were wearing a t-shirt, shorts and pumps. It wasn't a problem.
As long as you don't look too scruffy, you should be alright.
The show is on every day, you can see the audience and what they wear.
My sister was on it as a defendant and she just wore casual clothing.
On the juries I’ve sat on in the past (real ones that is) there were some jurors in suits, some with ties, some with jeans and some even with their favourite football team clogs on and as its suppose to reflect your common old peers then this is how it’s suppose to be. That said the guy wearing his football team shirt was picked out by the accused and his lawyer as not being desirable for their case and they had that juror changed on that occasion but on another case he stood.
Not sure what you would wear in a pretend court if that’s what it is.
You obviously watch the show, So why not take notice of what people wear?
I saw someone in the audience on judge judy wearing sunglasses
... But presumably you watch the show?
And when you have worn them out you can use them as dishcloths
Better than being in the audience of 'Pick Me'.
I went to court once just to have a look and channel my inner Julia Brogan.
While I was waiting to go in two teenage defendants came out, they were wearing hoodies and trackie bottoms and one of them had got told off by the judge for fiddling with and chewing the toggles of his hoodie whilst in the dock
I was hoping you going to be a litigant...had met some random on the Match.com, moved them in the following week and handed over £1000 you "saved" from your benefits/money granny left you for their rapping dog groomer and internet nail salon business which you didn't get back for before they went to jail and then got your best mate up the duff.
I was going to suggest an excellent acting coach could assist you to portray "genuine shock and failure to understand how this happened" might persuade him to hand you over some of the money the sponsors put up.
Enjoy anyway ;-)
Just like any item of clothing, then. Within reason.
Have fun x
Thanks I will
It's easy just apply on the itv website, think we were on the waiting list just under 2 months for rinder. You will then get an email asking you to ring itv to book in for a filming.
Also while we were queing we saw izzy from corrie going into Costa (next door) on her lunch break
