Looking at going to Lakeside in Essex next week. The easiest route for me is by train, but theres engineering work going on at the minute so makes the journey that more complicated and longer. I`ve looked at other options like coaches. I would drive but my car is in repair.
Is their a way to get to Lakeside then? Without the chaos of changing trains etc
I`d like to go the cheapest way possible aswell.
Will be travelling from Norwich.

Oh forgot to mention that. Norwich.
If there are no trains suitable and you have no access to a car, then coach would be an option,. It all depends where you live...
Or you could hire a car.

As a result of major project work, one line will be blocked between Marks Tey and Chelmsford from 21.05. Rail replacement bus services will operate from 21.05 between Colchester to Chelmsford. There will be a less frequent train service from Liverpool Street to Colchester, Ipswich and Norwich.
Shouldn't really affect the OP?
Look it up on the National Rail website.
It costs about £60 though - off peak.

Maybe. I'm sure you could get one for about £30 for a day.
Get the 370 bus from Romford to Lakeside Bus Station right outside House of Fraser.
It's one heck of a slog. The bus journey goes around all the houses and takes forever. Lakeside is not worth it tbh.
Or hire a car. A/M11, M25.
Still gonna have to go under the bridge, whichever way
