    He was at London Film and Comic Con 2 weeks ago signing autographs and doing photo shoots just like every other celeb there, you never would have guessed he was so close to leaving us from that event.

    RIP Kenny Baker, was nice to meet you fleetingly.

    I met Kenny years ago when he was in pantomime at Edinburgh, yeah Edinburgh with Allan Stewart. My friend was a great pal of Allan's and would go to his dressing room and I thought I would chance my arm and asked if I could meet Kenny. He answered the door and was getting dressed at the time so said I could wait. What a lovely, down to earth, pleasant, lovely man and I spent about 20 minutes talking to him about mainly Time Bandits as I love that film. He gave me a signed autograph with him as R2-D2 and something I have cherished since. Glad he survived until he was 81, against all odds.
