I'm shocked at the number of people here who are convinced David is gay just because he acts in rather 'camp' way on TV. He had many girlfriends before he was married and there is absolutely no reason why he wouldn't be 'out' if he was gay.

It's a shame that their marriage didn't work out (especially for their son) but I wish him well and hope it is amicable.

Exactly, you only have to read his book Camp David to know that if he were Gay it's not something he would hide. He's quite open about how camp he is and how it comes across to people but still people start to question things.

I thought I'd read it all on DS but a claim of a fictional baby? Wow. Go for a walk. Outside.

    You think that's bad?

A female supposedly wasn't pregnant and she was walking about with a fake bump. :o

    Only on DS.:D

I'm not that surprised, he always seemed more into her to me, seems a bit mean that she took the kid (to be expected) but also the dog, leaving him completely alone :(

That may be, but he's been around the block several hundred times and gained the weathered look of a much older man.

Which is surprising as I've heard that semen is great for the complexion (well that's what I tell my girlfriend anyway)!

Tomorrow's Sun headline from Dan Wooton. Thought they seemed happy and have a small child. Sad news.

It is sad. David is such a nice guy. I hope he finds happiness in his life again soon

The wording of the article deliberately made her sound worse. Someone has to be with the child and given he's only 2, it makes a lot of sense that it's his mum. I have no doubt they will eventually share custody. As for the dog, maybe it was first hers or maybe she was the primary caregiver of said dog.

Not that I personally think he's gay - more bi, leaning towards gay - but down the millennia gay guys have married: Richard the Lionheart, Oscar Wilde, Elton John.

Sexual preferences aside, I find him curiously repellent and smug and always have. You may feel I'm being excessive for the sake of effect, but just seeing him on screen makes my skin crawl. If they ever did a remake of M he'd be a shoe in for the lead role.

Write to the Bond makers, I am sure David would jump at it. Why M makes your skin crawl no idea.? Unless you meet someone in real life never ever judge them.

Lots of men really camp it up, some put it on and some do it without thinking. Usually its a great way to get women. Wasn't there rumours she had a drink problem, perhaps she staggered out with her baby, dog and a big bottle of booze. I love how everyone is jumping on it must be him.

Never really believed this relationship was any more credible than the Cristiano/Irina, Ashley/Cheryl, Lewis/Nicole smokescreen-type pairings, but feel sad that so many of these people feel they need to be seen in heterosexual relationships.

I always found it odd that there has never been a single photo of them with their (imaginary?) baby. A quick glance at Google images and 'David Walliams and Lara Stone with their baby/child' brings up thousands of images - but not one of their child. Just a couple of them with a pram and several with their dog. It's one thing to not want to parade a child around, like Mr Cowell does, but for there to be not a single picture of them seems more than peculiar.

Perhaps he'll go on to marry his agent (like Dec is doing) or his assistant (like Paul McKenna has), or get a friend's wife to have an actual baby for him, like his BGT boss has done, and continue to live a lie.
Well, I've read some bizarre conspiracy theories but this one tops them all. Is there one of those realistic fake baby dolls in that pram they've been pushing around or is it simply empty?

I hope David and Lara can work through their problems and find an amicable solution to their marital problems, whatever they are, especially with regard to their son.

I didn't realise everythat almost everyone associated with Britain's Got Talent is secretly gay though :o

"M" is the name of a famous classic movie about a serial killer.

He made it as clear as possible, without actually saying the words, that he's bi with a preference for women

If he was gay and closeted, he would not behave the way he does on TV. Closeted men would be far too neurotic to act camp

    Yeah I get that.

I couldn't give a monkeys what his sexual preferences are, but the way he's so overbearing and loud and attention seeking, in such an unnatural and forced way (in my opinion), I struggle to watch him. I find him very awkward.

    Agreed.

From my view it seems like there is something a bit "wrong" with him. He's just too over the top all the time. As well as being awkward to watch it's just plain boring and a little bit sad too.

I liked a lot of Little Britain-but Sebastian, the political aide was just too much. I ended up turning the sound off when he was on, it made me cringe so much!

I think the word you're looking for is 'flamboyant' :D...or, for some people, known as 'irritating as hell'! Some people don't know how to 'gear down' in the presence of others. They have to take the limelight, even when it's not their 'turn'. Peter Kay is a classic for this, too.

I don't know or really care whether he is gay or bi or has a preference for anything or anyone, but I do know that a marriage split is always painful especially when a child is involved and I do hope they sort it out in whatever way suits their little boy.

It's irrelevant whether people think he was 'obviously covering up his sexuality' or that it's odd that they've managed to hide their (quite real) child from the paps, it's a 5 year marriage ending, other celeb marriages have lasted a lot less and it must all be incredibly raw. They don't appear to be blaming anyone and I don't think the media should be getting involved, they've never courted the media as a couple, in my opinion.

I don't think it's flamboyant that bothers me as I like people like Graham Norton and John Barrowman who are both super camp much of the time, especially Barrowman.

I really can't put my finger on what it is with Walliams at all. I just know I find him creepy and unlikable to the point of unwatchable, and am glad there are others who see it too.

Three people I knew at university were the embodiment of this. It is really obnoxious when taken to an extreme.

Some of the roles he's played don't help, really, do they? The grandma-fancying man on Little Britain and some of the other characters had a very, very sleazy feel. Seeing as he and Matt Lucas were instrumental in devising those roles, it makes you wonder, where in their heads, it comes from. However, it's weird because I don't feel the way about Matt Lucas as I do David Walliams. I could have a cup of tea with Matt but would perhaps be a bit on edge doing the same with David. Matt, I guess, could also be described as 'flamboyant' but also, for me, comes across as less self-absorbed.

I like Barrowman and Norton, too. :) Seen the former in concert and he was amazing. Very generous to his fellow performers and fans.
