The US DoJ don't mess around with this kind of thing. I wonder if they will seek Balls' extradition?

We have already extradited some Nat West bankers iirc.

Never seen Balls so quiet and restrained.

After his demented performances in previous PMQs he is almost docile today.

Tomorrow's debate and vote will settle it.

Does it really matter as MPs start questioning Diamond today.

The Diamond questioning is a big event and the start of a long process as confirmed by John Mann this morning.

Tomorrow's vote will decide the method of the separate Parliamentary enquiry possibly to be chaired by Tyrie if he gets permission.

Ed would push for a judge-led enquiry if his wife burned his toast in the morning. :D:D:D

He is on a very sticky wicket at present and Ball's demeanour today belies it. He and Balls were at the heart of the Brown cabal and are probably dreading all the old coals being raked up.

Andrew Neil asked John Mann if he would be calling Brown and Balls et alia and Mann said that he would if necessary.

He's right about bank bailouts. If they fail then they fail. Separate the high street and investment arms. Underwrite savings. Then let them determine their own fate.

I listened to his interview on the Today programme yesterday and he said that no one would happier than he when Balls is called to account.

Brown only saved the banks because he knew that the sight of a failed British bank would consign Labour to the political graveyard for ever.

Cameron puts the boot into Labour for wanting to delay an enquiry because they don't want to expose their dirty linen to the public.

Clegg and Cameron were briefed on the appalling state of the economy when they took office and cautioned against making an issue of it then.

Looks like revenge is still best served cold.
