For a supposed "entertainment extravaganza", tonight has been way off the mark.
Doctor Who, Dragons Den and the Eastenders Beatles bits have been the highlights - and that is it.
Wogan should reture from doing this now - hand it over to someone who can breath a bit of life and energy (Graham Norton or Jonathan Ross spring to mind).
I've never missed a Children In Need - believe in the cause - but never have I seen such a dreadfully thrown together mess as this! No-one seems to have any passion for it - maybe all the BBC cuts have caused morale to drop and no one cares?
Even the audience looked bored and bemused most of the time.
The clips showing the reason for donating have been poor. Little emotional impact. And there only seems to have been about 4 or 5 of them that they keep repeating. Over the years I remember many haunting and touching clips which stayed with me long after watching - where are they this year?
BBC - you should be ashamed. You have got to do better next time.
Instead of begging for the last £2 mill why dont they go backstage with their buckets and get the cash off the overpaid celebs (or has Simon Cowell left?)

He left after making us watch Leona and mentioning the X factor and Shayne Ward.
It's actually true what someone else said before, Denise should have been the one presenting not Fearne, that two seconds she introduced the newsreaders were better than anything Fearne has done all night.

I totally agree 100%
Because it's goooooooooooooood.
Quit moaning and switch off/over now. Please.

And to think you were moaning about this, just a moment ago.
(All these shows ALWAYS start repeating after midnight so why all the moaning about that?)
Oooo well spotted, I hadn't noticed that!
I loved Peter Davison. I had a crush on him as Albert Campion.
We had Shayne Ward "perform" up in Scotland.
He didn't even sing live!!
London broadcast was very very disappointing whereas Glasgow's output was way above what I expected.
Great job BBC Scotland, shame you were let down by the network output.
Take a lesson from your regions BBC!! Less miming/singing out of tune and give us more variety.
Right, I'm off to bed.
I'm tired and my eyes hurt. Night folks.
Well Peter Davidson is David Tennant's favourite Doctor who he watched when he was 11.
They know the reality.
Goodnight

About the same age as I would have been *l*. Mind you, I've seen most of the Doctors.
