Would you go to/been to a school reunion?

I would love to go a reunion and see how people have turned out. A couple of friends from pre-school I see now and again. But I would love to see how the "popular" people turned out in later life.

    I like the idea.

I'd never even consider going to one of my own though.

Unless it was with a giant can of petrol and a box of matches....

No and no. A few years ago I might have done but I see enough of them on Facebook now to know what everyone's up to. I don't really have much interest in seeing them all in person though.

    No.

Those times and people belong in the past, which can sometimes appear with hindsight better than it actually was.

No I wouldn't. I left my hometown when I was 16 and never lived there again.

    No, not at all.

My former secondary does have a group on Facebook, which I did join, but I realised how few people I knew when I was at school, it was quite depressing :D

Nope. Hated my school, teachers and around 85% of the people in my year.

My school was demolished about 8 years ago so we'd have problems if we wanted to meet on the actual site. I'm not even sure what's on the site now as I moved away from my home city 20 years ago. I might pop onto Google Earth later and have a snoop...

As for a reunion, well frankly I can't even remember the names of more than one of two of them, and I'm not really interested in all this reunion stuff anyway. Just seems like pointless nostalgia.

nope. I hated almost everyone I went to school with. I wasn't friends with them then, I decline their friend invites on facebook now and I have no interest in ever seeing them or their poorly-bred offspring.

I'd much rather take the time and go with my actual friends to a weekend in Cabo or Vegas.

I don't want to go and too much time has elapsed.

I'm a very different person from what I was 32 or so years ago, so I probably wouldn't relate very well to most people that I knew in school, and I expect the feeling is mutual.

Anyway, two of my favourite people that were at school are actually the daughters of my dad's partner, so I can be in contact with them anyway, if I want to.

Time passes, people move on in life. I've made new friends in the meantime.

    NO! Never.

I wouldn't want to see almost any of those a-holes ever again.......and I'd have to kill at least one of them.

I'm on board with that sentiment :)

i went to one a few years ago, i wouldn`t bother now. i`ve got a handful of old school people on facebook and every so often i get a friend request from another, they mostly get deleted after a few weeks because there`s no interaction at all and no response when i communicate so they`re pretty pointless and it`s clearly just nosiness.

I would have liked to have given some of my teachers a slap. However, most of them that taught me have passed away now.

In my case, I was lucky that the teachers were mostly great - it was the other pupils that were the problem and who I would avoid seeing at all costs!

No. I'm in touch with a few old schoolmates via FB and have met a couple of times but bothered about seeing the rest of them. None of us has given each other a second thought in 20 odd years so not sure why we'd consider spending an evening socialising together.

I went to one, it was pretty rubbish. We had somebody in our year who went onto become a TV household name, so obviously most of it revolved around him.

Missed out on the last one about 2003 as never knew a reunion had been arranged. but apparently was a great success. The old school has been demolished but can still remember most names. Due to age there are probably too few of us around today for another reunion.

I wouldn't go to a school reunion because half of the people I was around were idiots. Some were okay though. I wouldn't mind seeing some, but not others.

The last time there was one that I knew about I was all set to go BUT then I got tickets for Placebo / My Vitriol the same evening and couldn't turn down that opportunity.

No, it would be way too naff, I didn't like half the people at the time!

Heck no, it took me eleven years to get out of that place, why would I want to go back?
