That's different, I am referring to your day to day life. It's easy to forgo the internet on your holidays, that is why they are called holidays, everyone takes a break
I'd be surprised if anyone who posts on DS can go a week without the internet or at least wanting to log on;)
I managed fine when on holiday for two weeks.
I think it is important to take a break from the internet and all the other things in life we are not mean to be able to live without eg. mobile phones, telly etc.
I hate saying with respect but with respect is that relevant. It's like saying my grandfather got along without TV. Reason: because it hadn't been invented. Surely, this is the same with any technology, not just the internet. The mobile phone comes to mind.
I suppose. It would be more accurate to say I went five years without the internet, as I used it at university for work but didn't bother to buy an internet capable computer.
Tbh it is difficult to imagine going without it altogether now. I used to have more hobbies which I don't spend so much time on now.
The internet has replaced real life socialising, so whilst not a problem for me as I am 40+ and settled down with kids, the challenge is 20 year olds who now can only socialise with random people and vague acquaintances on the internet from the comfort of their bedroom.
I use it all the time, but if I go away for 2 weeks, then I don't give it a second thought.

I watch TV on the internet!
Of course you did. You were on holiday. However, you are clearly using it now.

I bet if I go through you post history there wont be any long gaps which you claim to have had
Feel free. I'm well known for disappearing for days or weeks at a time because of my illness.
She'll be back ... soon, I hope.

I do need to cut back my time spent here though.
