What are the chances that Irani will become a Wigan fan and tell everybody he was there in the old 4th division on Mondays show!!
Bolton is about 6-7 mile from Wigan. He will have caught the bus or walked bare foot to get to Wigan's old ground, Stopping off for a chip butty for tea and making up some good old fashioned tale of the olden days of Irani. Its nalied on.
If I were a bookie, Id stop taking bets

Yes caught it on talksport as it went out lol, went something like "ROBERTO ROBERTO ROBERTO ROBERTO ROBERTO" {sounds of the moose's heaving breathing after only 15 yards and then silence as Martinez just iggied him} :D

I was also listening to the final on Talksport and I heard the Moose chasing Martinez too:p I think Roberto's fast walking blew the sprinting Moose apart....but I can't fault his effort.

I am glad Wigan won because I like and rate Martinez as a manager, in time I would like to see him manage a bigger club.

Any ideas why Ken 'master' Bates spent 8 million on stadium improvements when he doesn't own EllandRoad.........
Its like taking out a bank loan to build a conservatory on your council house.

How many times a day will Talksport replay Wigan's goal.

I'm a bit late here but did anyone listen to Matt Forde on Friday night/Saturday morning (the first hour)? I was about to switch over as I find him truly awful but he proceeded to give us all his "opinion" of Sir Alex Ferguson. I cannot begin to explain how mean-spirited, unkind and inaccurate it was but as they say everyone is entitled to an opinion. His reaction to callers surprised me even more, I thought he would receive a tirade of callers telling him he was out of order. speaking nonsense and to show some respect, but no he had a stream of perfectly reasoned calls from fans of SAF, who made cogent points in a total non-confrontational way. They were just dismissed by Forde as "talking rubbish". This is not the way to run a phone-in programme  at the same time it was strangely fascinating.

Otherwise I was astonished to find he is still there. Shall I call him up and tell him he's just talking rubbish;) I'll probably last three seconds on the air: the double-standards of some folks is just astounding.

Surely in the future they have to send Irani for these after match interviews.
He is everyones friend. Managers & players would be queuing up to talk to him.
If he had been there yesterday when the goal was scored you would have seen all the Wigan players run over & jump on top off him.
Good luck to the Hornets today.

Irani was found out ages ago by the listeners, I think the guests are fed up with him too asking awful questions and his lack of knowledge about anything otherthan Essex cricket club.

I think a Rubicon was crossed with the 'Keanegate' affair.
Since then the sniping from colleagues on air has risen noticeably & the contempt from certain guests also,

Its all due to a certain poster on the other place called 'Essexblue' who heard Irani's lies about Keane while in his car & being an Essex cricket fan was pretty certain that Irani was playing for Essex that day.
He looked up the records when he got home & sure enough had him caught 'bang to rights' as Jack Regan would say.
He posted the proof on TF.
The Mirror pinched it from there - not the first time they've done that, the Brazil/Barney the Dinosaur looky likey they published a month or two ago was also pilfered from there - not that anyone minds as it meant that his fibbing went national & Irani has suffered ever since.

Essexblue is the true hero in this.

I didn't realise that Matt was still there either.

Does he still talk about food almost nonstop these days?

Forde has finally found the right place for himself broadcasting away to a tiny minority that simply can't see how bad he is, I feel sorry for these people they are so out of touch. Thank god he's now been reduced to one night only, he's so easy to miss now and you totally forget all about him, when he was polluting the airwaves all weekend it was so much more difficult to ignore or dodge him, I'm happy enough he's sectioned down to Fridays only and he can stay there forever as far as I am concerned giving his Labour party biased views and talking about what food he's been stuffing down into his fat gut it doesn't bother me one jot.

The man deserves all our praise and thanks for his excellent detective work in trapping the phoney once and for all, no way in a million years was Irani's explanation satisfactory and he only made himself look a bigger phoney.

This is the reason he was constantly slagged off in here, I hated*the way he spoke to callers who disagreed with him. I hated his squeeky laugh and the boring, unfunny comedy chums that used to join him on the show.

Was it Mat that got mugged on his way to the tube station by a couple of 12yr olds, :D:D:D its no laughing matter :D:D:D the following night the big baby started blubbering on air.

We rightly hammer Irani on here because of the way he acts and the garbage he speaks but what about a moments thought on his fat chum Brazil who spouts just as much rubbish if not more than his buddy?. Why is Brazil so excited all the time by the premier league? he doesn't even support a club in it, why is he forever coming out with things like "I can't wait" "It's so exciting" "Bring it on" "It'll be brilliant" why is he so hyper about it all all the time?.
Because it's all a big act, I bet he hates the premier league truth be known, the old first division where he played had far more competition involved. In those days money wasn't everything, rich billionaire foreign owners weren't buying the title like now and everyone was in with a chance of winning something, another thing the wages were massively lower in Brazil's day so he must also hate the Prem for that too.
The only reason Brazil sounds so hyper and excited about the game today is because he's being paid massive amounts to sound it.

Al was so excited by football today he didn't even turn in and was broadcasting via ISDN line. :D

It's quite simple Billy,Brazil likes drinking and eating for free.Whether its at a football Match,Boxing,Golf or Horse racing that's his main enjoyment. There are many examples,Arsenal v Barcelona leaves the Emirites at HT after a corporate binge.Vegas Hatton fight no show bladdered in the Bellagio Casino to name 2.
The words, stealing a living is an understatement god knows what the likes of Hawksbee Kelly keys Gray think of this joke of a presenter.

I know Brazil gets some stick on here but he's the only one at the station who seems to have a personality. Irani hasn't got one and some of the other presenters only marginally scrape by with what passes for one.

I would bet that if TS did give him the boot he'd be lined up within minutes for something where he does not need to get up at 4 O'clock every day and still attract a fair old following. He proved he can still deliver a good show when he did Sunday afternoons so Brazil's stock is not as low as some might think.

I don't agree with any of that. Why did his Sunday spot get dropped?Wasnt his decision. He hasn't a clue about modern day football that's one of the many reasons he would never get another job on a national radio station.

I wonder about this too, no other presenter at the station (or any other radio station) are allowed to host a show via ISDN line. I am sure Andy Gray has too drive from wherever he lives every Monday and stays in London until Friday, Steve Berry lived in Bury and stayed at a mates flat every weekend so he could do his job on Talksport. Mike Dickin had an ISDN line because off health reasons but he done a solo show so it was not a case of one presenter at home and another in the studio.

You don't hear other Radio presenters blagging freebies the way Al & Ronnie do every day, I understand companies being happy to hand out freebies to get a plug on air so how come its not done anywhere else.

I agree very strongly that Brazil knows very little about the premier league if truth be told, he's never played in it, he's never managed in it, he's never coached in it, he's never even supported a club in it , he doesn't attend any live matches anywhere unless it's a very important highly valued top game with free tickets to seat, meal and drinks all on the house, (which is usually a corporate box with the best view but even then the thought of visiting a bar gets the better of him and he often leaves at halftime). He doesn't even WATCH games on TV or listen via radio because he goes to bed at 9.00PM to be up again for 4AM for 'work'.
After saying all that this is just my personal view and others may see it very differently, if you do can you kindly explain to me how he's such an expert on top flight football taking into account what I have said above?.

    PS..
We'll not even go near nPower Championship and leagues 1 & 2 football that he also likes to sometimes pontificate on.

As far as I know they've never attempted to put a stop to Brazil & Irani's on-air freeloading tactics which is far worse than talking to the other presenters during show handovers but they stopped them. Did anyone hear Keys recently during a very short abrupt handover from Brazil?, Keys was about to start a conversation with Brazil and then suddenly stopped and said, "Oops I'm not allowed to do that am I now" and on came a commercial.
If anyone is reading this at talksport in a managerial capacity why have you stopped all the handovers?, they were better than the flipping shows.

If Talksport were electricians, you could expect an engineer who either couldn't be bothered to turn up or tried to fix the fault over the phone, if he did turn up he could be drunk, slurring and last fixed an electrical fault 25 years ago and a lying accomplice who had never seen inside a plug in his life.:D

Andy Gray has broadcast by magic phone quite a few times from the midlands. And I've even heard Keys mention it on air once or twice, rather than pretend they're sharing a copy of the Sun in the studio, so fair play to him for that.

If Charlie Sale in the Mail this week is to be believed, Keys & Gray are favourites to host Al Jazeeras Premier league coverage next season. It will be interesting to see if they do get the gig if its intensive enough or lucrative enough to see them return to TS after their summer break.
