So the Ranking closed on Sunday night and the votes have been totted up.
Today I will begin the count down of the 142 acts as ranked by you from series 1-11. The rankings have a massive 16 new entries from last year and will include some stats, facts and my opinions on the acts
I have also included a Ranking History, which shows were the acts have ranked throughout the years that the rankings have been running and also a comparative % of how they have done compared to last year
Feel free to join in talk and discuss the rankings as they are counted down.

So will Little Mix manage to take the title 2 years on the trot? Will there be new entry by the likes of Fleur on one of the other Series 11 acts? Or will someone climb to take the title?

For another year Emily remains as the lowest ranked and barring a slight reprieve when Frankie debuted in last place has really been entrenched in this spot. Emily is 336 points behind the act ranked at 141 and is further away from climbing from the bottom spot than the last couple of years. She is most notorious for withdrawing from the competition after 3 weeks due to footage of her happy slapping someone came to light. Her withdrawal/ removal meant Sharon was left with just 1 act by week 4 of the competition. Emily was the first act out of only 3 in XF history to be removed/ leave of their own accord once the live shows had begun.

Frankie is for another year the second lowest ranked Act, he did climb a couple of years ago and was in third from last for most of the voting before the act in 140th place overtook. He remains the lowest ranked Series 8 act (with Jonjo still in front) and also once more the lowest ranked Gary Barlow act (with Christopher still in front). Frankie was a very marmite act and whilst I don’t think he had the strongest voice I think he’s off stage antics and weird song choices overshadows how he sung in his first audition and at bootcamp. Since leaving the show, Frankie appeared on Celebrity Big Brother where he managed to finish in 2nd place, he has also released an EP onto Itunes which went top into the 20, however missed the top 100 on the official chart.

So Christopher Maloney comes next in the rankings and means that the bottom 3 are exactly the same as the previous year. The count between 141 and 140 was extremely close, however Christopher does seem to have his supporters amongst voters. He remains as the lowest ranked Act from Series 9 and the lowest ranked Over overall. Chris was voted in as the wildcard and managed to stay in until the Final 3, even managing to top the votes throughout the majority of the live shows. He gained somewhat of a cult following on DS and of course various threads dedicated to MeNan. It was close between Chris and Frankie, however the last few votes saw Chris gain some very good rankings which helped to push him just clear.

Nu Vibe also remain fourth from bottom this year and remains as the lowest ranked group overall and the lowest ranked Tulisa act for a fourth year running. Going into the lives Nu Vive seemed to be by far the biggest supported group; however this all seemed to go wrong with their performances in the live shows. They didn’t seem to be gelling as a group and some dire staging/ song choices saw them eliminated In week 2 after the graveyard slot + being bottom 2 against Frankie. The group has subsequently split with Ashford going into the Risk.

Completing the bottom 5 is another Series 8 act who takes a hit and a fall down the rankings. Due to Christopher he holds off being the lowest ranked Over overall, however due to a climb by 2 to Go means Jonjo is now the lowest ranked Louis Walsh act and the Lowest ranked over from Series 8. IMO Jonjo got as far as he did because of his backstory (like Jay this year). He didn’t have the strongest voice however managed to get through to the first live shows this year. He picked his own song choice and Louis Walsh clearly had issues with him, he subsequently wasn't picked to go through and was eliminated in Week 1 before the viewers got to vote.

Eoghan takes a further drop down the rankings and due to a climb by Addictiv Ladies (the Fleur effect), Eoghan becomes the lowest ranked Simon Cowell act and also remains as the lowest ranked act from Series 5 (which before last year was usually held by Daniel) and remains the lowest ranked Male from Series 5. Eoghan managed to make the final of Series 5 – topping the votes nearly every week, I think he did outstay his welcome somewhat, which I think usually always is reflected in his ranking. I don't think he was this bad, but certainly shouldn't have got further than a whole heap of acts which were eliminated in his year whilst he remained.

Another year and another improvement for 2 to Go; 2 years ago they climbed out of the bottom 3, last year they climbed out of the bottom 5 and no longer were the lowest ranked group. This year their climb means that they are now no longer the lowest ranked Louis Walsh act too and are now well clear of the bottom 5 acts. They do however remain as the lowest ranked group of Series 1 and Series 1's lowest ranked act. 2 to Go have never really performed well in the rankings and usually features in the bottom section of people’s lists; however seem now to be doing better than they usually do; watch out for a possible win by them in a few years time!

So the first of 16 new entries this year goes to the most unfunny novelty act that the show has ever really seen. Sleazy performances mixed with bizarre choreography and picked as a wildcard and later revealed to be an actor who could actually sing - really for me Stevi sums up everything that has been wrong with X Factor for several years.

Daniel basically stands still in the rankings and remains in front of Eoghan and no longer the lowest ranked Act of Series 5. He does remain As Dannii's lowest ranked Act overall and the lowest ranked Over of Series 5. Daniel was an odd inclusion in the finalists for Series 5 and almost certainly got picked for the lives due to his back story and over some far better Over 25 Vocalists that year. He lasted a heck of a long time in the competition, even outlasting Austin and Laura! However his time came against Rachel in Week 6 whereupon he was ousted from the competition.

After the smallest of climbs last year, Kandy Rain take a drop down the rankings this year and forever remain as the lowest ranked Act from Series 6 and the lowest ranked Group from that series. Kandy Rain weren’t featured too greatly in the run up to the lives, were given the graveyard slot, they were heavily criticised by Cheryl and Dannii for the way they dressed and polled the lowest amount of votes that week. The band were never really given a chance, however going on all the clips that were seen they weren't great vocalists anyway so their early elimination wasn't a huge loss to the show.

Overload Generation are up next and become the second lowest new entry this year; they debut just outside the bottom 10 however are the lowest ranked group for series 11. Their inclusion as a wildcard was a slight odd choice given the fact they never made it through to Judge's Houses, however out of the first week performances I don't think they were that bad to be honest and as a group had a lot more chemistry/ believability than the cobbled together Stereo Kicks. However after one week and a sing off against Stephanie, Overload Generation were sent home after polling the second lowest amount of votes that week. As I said I don't think they were that bad and there are far worse acts that I would rank below them.

Girlband manage a minor climb up the rankings after 2 years of successive falls. They manages to climb to outside the bottom 10 acts, however for a sixth consecutive year they are the lowest ranked Group of Series 5. Girlband were eliminated in Week 2 of the competition after a deadlock vote against Ruth. However they managed to see off Badlashes in the Week 1 sing off however didn't get any rebound vote to see them through to the following week.

Verity takes a further drop down the rankings this year and once more remains as the lowest ranked Over from Series 1. IMO Verity came across as a nice person, however was given very big songs for her voice and her limitations really showed in the lives. I think a lot of why she got the lives was because Simon felt a bit sorry for her and possibly shouldn't have made it as far as she did (but then the same could be said for quite a number of XF finalists).

Storm reverse his big climb from last year by taking a large drop down the rankings this year. He remains as the lowest ranked Over of Series 7 and the Lowest Ranked Series 7 Act for a third year running. I think you could argue strongly that Storm was completely thrown under the bus by the producers/ Cowell due to his bizarre make over, song choices and general styling. The audience didn’t buy into it and in the 2nd double elimination he was quickly kicked out of the competition.

Well it's all change for Addictiv Ladies this year who take a massive climb up the rankings; they are usually well within the bottom 10 and often in the bottom 5 ranked acts. However off course the fact Fleur returned this year and managed to gain mass DS support has clearly had an effect on the Series 2 Group for the better. However despite the big climb, they do remain as the lowest ranked Group and Act from Series 2. They are no longer the lowest ranked Simon Cowell Act however and get their best position since the ranking begun (in % terms). For me they never lived up to their audition and each subsequent performance they got steadily worse. They faced Chico in the first sing off of Series 2 and were swiftly eliminated from the competition. Whether or not the Fleur effect last next year is anyone's guess, however they have done very well this year.

The MacDonald Brothers took a massive climb up the rankings last year, this year they take a huge fall and drop down. They slip to become the lowest ranked Series 3 Group (usually 4sure) and the lowest ranked Series 3 act Overall (usually 4sure or Kerry). The MacDonald Brothers lasted until the final 4 of Series 3 despite constant criticisms and weird song choices – they became the top placed group that year, however that is not replicated here.

For the first time in a fair few year Philip takes a small fall down the rankings this year, however manages to stay out of the bottom 5/10 which he always seemed to inhabit. He remains still as the lowest ranked 16-24 Act of Series 2 which he has done since the rankings began. In his time Philip has been the lowest ranked act, so he is really improving in the rankings each year. Philip gave some quite bizarre performances in his 3 week stint on the show and after facing the one and only Chico in the bottom 2, Cowell and Osborne sent him packing.

Wagner takes a further drop down the rankings after a big climb two years ago. Wagner is very marmite, however the lower end rankings far out-weighed the higher rankings for him. Wagner managed to stay in the competition until the final 7; outlasting Aiden, Paije, Treyc, John, Belle Amie and Diva Fever, he had a big cult following back in the day, however it seems the loaf for Wagner is waning year on year as the drop down the rankings continued.

Next up Series 10 rears its head as Shelley takes a big fall down the rankings this year. She managed to make it into the second week of Series 10 after beaten off Lorna in the first sing off, only to be voted off against KIngsland Road. She was really the closest act to a Novelty that Series 10 had in the lives. But really she wasn't really a novelty as she could sing, it was just a little odd she was picked for the lives in the first place considering who else was at Sharon's Judges Houses. She is for a second year the lowest ranked Over of Series 10 and the Lowest ranked Series 10 Act.

Blonde Electra are the next new entry and are the third lowest new entry this year. They were a bit of an odd group and really pre wildcards they looked set to be the Novelty act for the year, then Stevi came along and he took their place. They didn't have bad voices, however they erred on the irritating side and after just 1 live show performance they finished in 16th place in the vote and were eliminated from the competition. I think they could've been fun had they stayed, however this year was really about 1 category and 1 judge so no one else really got a look in.

After 2 years of massive falls, this year Bad Lashes take a big climb back up the rankings. They were the DS faves of the groups during the judges houses stages, however the general public didn’t agree and after a ropey 1st show performance were eliminated via a deadlock decision against Girlband. I think the group may have had potential, but considering their competition in Series 5 it was doubtful they could've got much further anyway.
